The Association Football Thread

Watched every minute of the Liverpool/Arsenal match on Saturday. The Denver Broncos think that was an embarrassing beat down.

man, I'm glad I didn't get to see it. watched about the last 20 mins of the game and was like wtf when I turned it on. down 5-1??? c'mon man

Going to be a tight race for top spot

Still think it goes to City in spite of recent struggles. They're still the only one with goals all over the pitch. Arsenal struggles with that, and Liverpool is still the Suarez show in the long run.

Just found this forum after being on this site for years lol. Glad to see I can actually find somewhere to talk BPL with. I'm a city fan and I find it hard in the states, especially the south to find guys who know and are interested in the game. Look forward to some good conversation with you guys.

Post more.

Sign of changes in City recently or just an aberration?

Aguero and Fernandinho are both out. I've seen they won't be back for the Chelsea rematch. Don't know for sure though.

Eh. Getting knocked out of the FA Cup might not be the worst thing for City. Given where they are in the EPL table, and still being alive in CL, they've got bigger fish to fry right now.

Thanks! This is much better. Didn't realize such a large thread was ongoing. I agree about Liverpool, Milo. Suarez is brilliant and he carries them. It'll be up to guys like Sturridge, Coutinho and Alberto to really step their games up because Gerrard is done and Suarez can't be amazing every game. The good news for Liverpool is that there is a ton of young talent on the team.

Champions League is back next week boys. So damn nervous about the game at the Ethiad. Had it circled on my calendar for months.

Liverpool deserved the points, still a lucky result.

4-0 over neauvau chateau was huge. Stunning result for arsenal not to get the points, they were clearly the better side

Yesterday and today served nicely to tighten the race for the top back up. Liverpool would be right in it too if not for blatantly blowing that game against West Brom last week.

Cannot wait for CL action. Best tournament in sports, in my humble opinion. Thinking Arsenal is going to be a tough matchup for us without Ribery and Schweinsteiger questionable, but thankfully we have depth this year.

You'll be catching Arsenal at a good time. They've been off their game for a few weeks, and still have to play Liverpool again in the FA Cup this weekend.
