They started the season a thin squad, and it was only a matter of time. The slide begins...

COYS

It's quite a gauntlet they face from now till the end of the month. Spurs, Chelsea, Swansea and Man City over the span of three weeks is a tall order. You guys will probably make up some ground.

LOL, Vincent Kompany literally just kicked a hole in a cinder block wall on his way into the locker room after being sent off just now against Hull.

Liverpool lays the beat down on ManU and officially brings Chelsea within their championship sights.

Sure would be nice to see Tot get a result from Arsenal to bring it down to a 3 team race.

I'm actually hoping for a draw this afternoon. Would all but knock Arsenal out of title contention but would also keep Everton within striking distance of 5th.

With games still to play against City and Chelsea, Liverpool now almost find themselves in control of their own title destiny.

With ManC having 3 games in hand, we need them to drop points somewhere to have a chance. I would like to be within 3 points by the time we play them. Thankfully, they are playing 11 league games in the same span we play 8 plus they still have other competitions to play.

Actually they don't. They've already won the League Cup and got bounced from both the FA Cup and CL last week.

Yeah Man U is having an up and down year. Just when I think they have turned the corner with Moyes they pull this.

What had they done to make you think they'd turned a corner? Since early February the only teams they've beaten are West Brom and Crystal Palace. I'm not a fan of them, and admittedly don't watch all their games, but from what I've seen, by Man U standards they've been consistently bad just about all year.

Business as usual for Arsenal. An away match with a chance to climb back into the title race and they're getting beat down inside of 10 minutes.

Bad news for Chelsea though as Eto'o is forced off with an injury.

And now the most bizarre situation I've ever seen in a soccer match. Oxlade-Chamberlain punched a shot on goal away when the keeper appeared to be beaten. After initially missing the call, the ref discussed it with the linesmen, awarded a PK, and them sent off the wrong player, Kieran Gibbs. Very strange.

Nice job by Spurs to turn around an 0-2 first half deficit. Kind of a disappointing blow for Everton's hopes of getting up to that 5th spot and getting in to Europa League though.

Reds are surging. Really need Chelsea/Man City missteps down the stretch though, and will have to continue to play flawlessly. I think they can pull it off if they stay focused. Suarez and Sturridge have special chemistry going on right now.

We've got Chelsea where we want them, within 3 points by the time we play them. I don't think they stand a chance in Anfield.

ManC is a little more difficult with their having 2 games in hand but a draw/loss before we play them would get us within 3 points as well. If it's going to happen, it has to happen this week as they go to Old Trafford and The Emirates. However, I don't think our defense stands a chance when we meet up.

Liverpool will have their shot at City too. If City can drop a couple points this week and Liverpool holds form, the meeting between the two at Anfield in mid-April could turn out to be the most important game of the season.

That's what I anticipate. Going to be an epic week in April.

Will be an incredible matchup for sure and a goal-scoring fest. Unfortunately, I think Aguero and Toure go off against Liverpool's back line...
