Fair enough. That was our knock back in August and here we are. I'm not sure there is anyone that keep us from scoring enough. 10 games to go and Chelsea still has Tot, Pool, and Arsenal. Thankfully we only go to ManU
Top three all within three points of each other. So not sure that point stands.
While the Premier League is likely to only have one team in the UCL in the quarterfinals. La Liga will have three. EPL teams outscored 7-1 in the first leg of the round of 16. Quality.
Spurs within a shout of top four with a goal differential of +4... What a season. Happy to see Soldado find his striking boots.
They're 6 points out of 4th. It's possible, but a long shot. I think your best bet is to have Arsenal back up to you. Liverpool is in a pretty good spot now with both a favorable schedule and no other competitions to focus on.
I agree. sadly for me, arsenal is slipping bigtime. I don't think chelsea or city will get out of the top 4, and the pool is playing pretty well. I could see arsenal continuing to slip and still end up in 4th
Having more teams in the CL quarterfinals doesn't equate to an entertaining league. It just means the top teams in La Liga are better than the best in England. Surely you aren't going to try to make the case that it's actually deeper than the EPL.
I agree that the EPL is deeper, but not by much. The teams at the top just aren't very good. If Liverpool is your third best team, then you have problems.
Raheem sterling? Are we talking about Raheem Sterling?

It's four, but city has two games in hand. Finishing fifth the same season as sacking AVB would be something, though.
You do realize he just turned 19 a couple months ago, right? He's not some elite forward or anything, but he's pretty damn talented and still has a lot of years to develop.
Here's the deal, I hate both Barça and RM, and La Liga is sold its TV rights to some stupid obscure channel that I don't get, so odds are I'm never going to watch those teams outside of CL. I'd rather watch them in that tournament anyway where the competition is at least somewhat on their level.
Aren't we arguing current teams?
Liverpool's strength is their front line. And outside of Suarez, you have a player who just now becoming a solid player and a young starlet.
Barcelona has two starlets that are just as good as Sterling. They're both loaned out because they have absolutely no spot in the squad even as a Cup player.
Other than him, Liverpool is pedestrian.
They need to add some serious quality depth for next year with the likelihood that they make the CL. Really need a LB and some serious creativity from the midfield.
