Apparently there were about 70 Bayern Munich fans who had booked airfare to Moscow for the game, so they rented the top floor of an adjacent skyscraper and watched from there.

La Liga is pretty bad overall as a league but El Classico is the most entertaining thing in the sport. Man, this is fun to watch.

Will never understand the La Liga hate. The league continues to dominate in Europe but people say it's terrible.

The league season itself doesn't have the week to week excitement of the EPL because it's extremely top heavy and lacks parity. There's no questioning that the best teams in Europe play in La Liga though.

Valencia, Sevilla, Villarreal, and Sociedad have done really well in the Europa League the last five years. La Liga doesn't get the respect in the United States because the coverage isn't nearly as good.

Yep! If La Liga got the coverage that the premier league got, it would get more respect.

I remember people on here trying to claim they would barely miss a beat without Suarez. Just speaks to what an incredible season he had last year. They've gone from coming within a hair of winning the EPL with him to being pure garbage without him.

It also doesn't help that Sturridge has been out for an extended period of time and some of Rodgers signings have not panned out.

Lionel Messi became the fourth player with 20 career La Liga hat tricks (22 each for Cristiano Ronaldo, Trofeo Di Stéfano, Telmo Zarra).

Wow, I pretty well knew Liverpool had no shot at the top four this year, but I could have never imagined they'd be so bad they couldn't even beat out Basel and Ludogorets to get to the knockout stage of CL. I'm no Liverpool fan, but it's kind of sad seeing Gerrard play in what is almost certainly his final CL game for them. At least he went out in style with an amazing free kick. Maybe they'll draw Everton in Europa League, that would be a fun matchup.

It all falls on the shoulders of Brendan Rodgers. Once Suarez left, the club got a ton of money, and made sub par signings with it.

Also, it's critical that the club holds on to Sterling and Sturridge. The rest of the players, including Gerrard, are expendable. Hate to say it, but the game has passed him by.

After last season, it seemed like Rogers had cemented himself as the guy who was finally going to stop the revolving door of managers at Liverpool. Now, as inconceivable as it may have seemed just a few months ago, he may not survive the season.

The game against United last weekend was rough. They basically dominated play from the opening kickoff, yet somehow got demolished 3-0. How Sterling didn't find the back of the net at least once in all those chances is a mystery.
