You have either forgotten or are ignoring that I started out by saying that I don't put much stock in the modern advanced fielding stats either.

I'm basing my opinion on the fact that I've been watching baseball for almost 40 years and have seen hundreds of major league shortstops play. I think Simmons makes three plays a week that 95 percent of other ML shortstops, even good ones, don't make. Those plays are extra outs and fewer baserunners for the other other team, and over the course of the year that adds up to many fewer runs. I don't particularly trust any of the various methods that claim to put an actual number on it, but if he makes three extra plays a week -- and with Simmons, that may actually be conservative -- then that works out to about 70 extra plays in a season. Whatever the number is, I'm confident that it's worth more than, say, the 30 singles that are the difference between a .250 and .300 hitter.

I loved it, he went hard, but I'm not 100% sure what the whole fuss about him "calling people out" is about. He's just saying "Hey, no offense, but I want to get mine."

I didn't even really think of it as a call out.

I thought it was good but dont see the big deal. I just wanna hear all the responses. Joell Ortiz has a good one already. Fred the Godson has one but i didn't like it

Some fool in here needs to hurry up and jimmy somebody. Bad things have been happening ever since the switch from the pirates to the jimmy avi. 0-3 and in the 11th inning of a game that should have been over in nine but Marte dropped a routine fly ball

I don't remember whether that was made clear or not.
