I don't care. The guy doesn't put the ball in play or do anything productive offensively. It's like having two pitchers in the lineup.

Actually puts the ball in play more frequently than just about anyone in the lineup.

I wasn't watching when he "struck out bunting" but I'd put that on fredi being a dumbas. Janish shouldn't start, but there's nothing wrong with him having an INF bench job.

Blow . . . It . . . Out . . . Your . . . .ass.

If theres anything good about it, it looks like he may have turned just enough to get most of the impact on the flap and turn it into a little bit of a glancing blow. At least the ball deflected to the side rather than just falling at his feet. Still never good when a hard object hits your head at 90 mph.

I don't know, there are some people that I would say it would be a good thing if a hard object hit their head at 90mph.

Watching the replay of Heyward again, its pretty clear the ball didn't hit him in the eye or really anywhere close. That's good news. Hopefully this won't be a real long term thing.

Even still, that's something that an offseason could heal. When you start talking about serious eye injuries, you worry about getting into the career threatening realm.

I totally agree, I should rephrase and say the worst case judging by where he appeared to be hit. It certainly could be much, much worse.
