Liverpool needed extra time to get past Notts County yesterday afternoon. Not exactly what I was hoping for after a promising start where they've collected the full 6 points. We'll get a better idea of what they've really got this year this weekend because they play Man U.

It's going to happen. Our defense is bad enough that it's almost a certainty they can't play a full 60 minute game without having at least one breakdown that goes for a long TD.

AP was 2-9 last year. And this defensive staff is not last year's defensive staff. There will be plenty of breakdowns this year, just not against AP

Problem is it's still basically the same players. I hope I'm wrong, but I'd be willing to bet almost anything that Austin Peay doesn't get shut out.

Austin Peay won't score more than 6 points max. They absolutely suck.


Also we will score much more than 35. Unless Butch pulls the plug after 2 1/2 quarters. Their starting DE is 215 lbs. This is the worst team to ever step foot in Neyland Stadium.

I don't really dispute that. It just seems to me that people are overlooking the fact that this is also probably the worst UT team to take the field in my 29 year lifetime.

35 points seems reasonable to me. I think we're going to need to run the ball a lot, but I've never seen anything from this o-line or running backs to make me think they'll be breaking off 60-70 yard, Oregon style runs all night long. It'll be a slow and steady kind of pace IMO. Also, we may try to throw it around some to get Worley some experience, but don't lose sight of the fact that our receivers are inexperienced, Worley just plain sucks, but somehow managed to beat out all the other guys for the job. There might be just as good a chance that AP scores on a boneheaded throw from Worley as that they score on offense.
