I'd go Mike on the road and the others at home. Mike has the lowest ERA on the road in the NL this season. Medlen, Julio, Mike on the road game 3. But that would actually require thinking on Fredi's part and well we all know how that usually ends.

Fly ball pitcher, big home park, weakest of the three between the ears (imo). I would start him at home.

Dodger stadium is huge also, but they'll tee him up anywhere.

I know this opinion would go over like a turd in a punch bowl over in the FF, but I really wish there was some way we could just forfeit the game Saturday. We have literally no chance of winning, but there's plenty of opportunity to pick up devastating injuries that could hamper our chances at winning some of the swing games later on in the SEC schedule. No good can possibly come from the team getting on the plane and flying out to Eugene this weekend.

I don't care if I'm playing MJ in one on one, I would still try. JMO. I understand your point though

Serious?

I get what you're driving at, however, barring significant injuries, this one makes going to Gainesville much less daunting. With everyone still worried about Worley, an tough non conference game on the road is a great test going into conference play imo.

At least partly serious. I just have a bad feeling that we don't get through this weekend without getting somebody hurt, and it just feels stupid to risk the health of our paper thin roster playing a game that we have exactly 0% shot of winning.

Yeah, some injuries would really ruin our chance at the great season we're primed for except if it weren't for this one game against Oregon.

Sorry, can't get on board even slightly with that one. I only give us a slightly higher percentage chance than you do but they're called upsets and underdogs for a reason.

I like it. While we are at it lets just go ahead and forfeit for Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, and maybe even Florida.

We want to be fresh when he hit November and play the fellow bottom feeders, so to hold onto the hope of playing in the Fast Freddie's Payday Loans Bowl in Muncie, Indiana.

SMH. We are still damn Tennessee and we still play the game regardless of whether we are vastly undermanned or not. The day Tennessee starts thinking like you mentioned is the day I can no longer support them.

It could happen against any opponent. Chuck Webb was injured in the Pacific game.

Come on, man.

Just saying, the best case scenario is we play well and lose by 20ish. Worst case? Well, you can imagine.

Obviously I know we're not going to forfeit the game 3 days before it scheduled. As the game gets closer, its just frustrating to think that our team is facing a game which basically no good can come from playing, but there is also being subjected to catastrophic injuries that could hamstring their chances of winning against some of the more beatable teams. Also, it sucks that UF now has a bye week to stew over their loss and get ready for the SEC opener next week. If I had my choice, I'd much prefer a week off as well to prepare as opposed to a 6,000 mile road trip with an epic beatdown in the middle.

True, and it could also happen in practice even if there were no game at all. Still, it seems like the chances are increased when you're chasing around far superior athletes and just generally getting manhandled. I know we're not going to win, but if we can just get through Saturday with no significant injuries, that will be more than good enough for me.
