I know this opinion would go over like a turd in a punch bowl over in the FF, but I really wish there was some way we could just forfeit the game Saturday. We have literally no chance of winning, but there's plenty of opportunity to pick up devastating injuries that could hamper our chances at winning some of the swing games later on in the SEC schedule. No good can possibly come from the team getting on the plane and flying out to Eugene this weekend.
Here too. Christ.
LOL.
It's just a lousy position to put a team who's complete lack of depth constantly leaves us dangling on the edge of disaster. Clearly I knew we were going to have to play the game, I just haven't been able to dream up ANY scenario where any good comes from it. Possibly like one guy said it helps get Worley into some sort of state of preparedness for what he's going to experience at The Swamp.
Yeah, some injuries would really ruin our chance at the great season we're primed for except if it weren't for this one game against Oregon.
Sorry, can't get on board even slightly with that one. I only give us a slightly higher percentage chance than you do but they're called upsets and underdogs for a reason.
Bingo. It's not like our paper thin roster has title aspirations. It's not like our paper thin roster couldn't have been hurt against AP when we had no way of losing. I could toss the pigskin to Scotty for a couple hours on Saturday afternoon and we'd dust up AP
I think it's great preparation for the Swamp. I'm all in favor of getting some guys out of the game if we're down four scores in the fourth quarter, but you have to play the game and give it a shot. This is still a team full of college players. They aren't the 49ers.

Serious question. What if we're down by four scores in the 1st quarter? How long do personally think you leave the starters out there getting demolished before you just throw in the towel, get them safely to the sideline and get some experience for the younger guys?

They are fast, not a bunch of head crushing gorillas.
We'll see I guess. I feel like a lot of people are going to get a really rude awakening this weekend to just how depleted our talent level has gotten. I'd be willing to be Oregon wins by at least 40, and that'll only be because they let off at the end. Their insane speed coupled with our unthinkably slow defense creates a combination that makes them a legit threat to score on EVERY play they run. It's not a matter of IF they're going to have some 70-80 yard runs, it's a matter of how many.
I like it. While we are at it lets just go ahead and forfeit for Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, and maybe even Florida.
We want to be fresh when he hit November and play the fellow bottom feeders, so to hold onto the hope of playing in the Fast Freddie's Payday Loans Bowl in Muncie, Indiana.
SMH. We are still damn Tennessee and we still play the game regardless of whether we are vastly undermanned or not. The day Tennessee starts thinking like you mentioned is the day I can no longer support them.
