Big time. Hard to beat the good teams with only 2 outfielders and 2 1/2 infielders hitting on all cylinders.

(Not ready to proclaim Simmons as hitting on all cylinders at the plate)

Raked in the 2nd half and believe ended up slightly above average offensively for his position however.

I know you aren't hating on him tho.

To add to this, his plate discipline is completely legitimate. He's shown out since the beginning.

Again, not defensively though. You've already got one player up for his bat that is questionable defensively (Gattis), do you really want 2 of those on the postseason roster

Oh I love Simmons, ask Brown. LOL. I think he is a good hitter. He had 49 extra basers this year. Which is great. I just wish he would walk more and work the count. Get that OBP up.

My main argument is as a pinch hitter, not to start.

Think his ceiling is .280/.330/.450 with 20 homers. Add his D and that's an MVP player.

Alright gentleman. I have not missed a class this year, have nothing due tomorrow except a sociology test which I can take at home. Thinking tomorrow is a skip day.

But to make a decision on whether or not he'd be on the postseason roster you'd want to have generated atleast a decent sample size in September which would've required more than just pinch hitting while trying to lock up home field advantage IMO

Ozzie Smith first full season at 23 in the Show: .258/.311/.312

Andrelton Simmons first full season at 23 in the Show: .248/.296/.396

I would agree but Fredi didn't go after home field hard.
