I hate that for him, If they weren't worried about being penalized for hitting above the belly button, less knee/lower body injuries would occur.

That injury is the kind of thing that happens when you start ejecting people for hitting high. In the past, the defender would have just blasted Marshall in the open field. Now, with no other alternative but to go low, a guy gets his knee effed up.
