The problem with that is that the UGA defense is JV level compared to Florida.

Jancek and Willie Martinez are apparently tied at the hip. And there's no question UGA improved significantly after their fans forced Mark Richt to dump Martinez.

They improved .... and now they're getting about 35 ppg hung on them against BCS opponents.

Before I move 100 percent over into baseball mode, I want to clarify my position: at this point I'm nothing but optimistic about Butch Jones. I've moved a long way from "This hire is another catastrophe," which is where I was last December; I'm barely even a skeptic anymore. I'm just not ready yet to declare our Long Volunteer Nightmare over yet like many fans are.

Clearly we did at least hire an actual football coach this time. That much is definite.

Lineup posted yet? I assume it's the same, but I would honestly prefer to have BJ in center tonight for Gattis. You never wanna give extra outs, but especially not tonight with young Julio. JMO

I'd say I'm in almost the exact same boat as you. We're still a couple years away, so there's probably still some rough Saturdays ahead for us, but evidence of progress is already starting to show.
