Someone mentioned Aramis Ramirez. I certainly think it's an upgrade, but he's scheduled to make $16mil next year. We are already (likely) to be paying Uggla and BJ big money for little production. It seems like a bad investment for a 35 Yro 3rd basemen

I haven't heard anything about it, but at least he has a positive track record to look at. The Brewers would have to eat some salary, and/or take lesser prospects in return. The salary wouldn't be a major issue, IMO. Some money to play with at current, plus McCann and probably Hudson will be coming off the books this offseason.
