I got a go to spot I take em after. You take some back roads in my home town (close to Clarksville) and it leads you to a dead end elevated area right behind an airport. At night the runway is lit up for the landing strip with all kinds of different colors. Plus it is away from the city so no lights blocking the sky. So if the sky is clear you can see stars for miles, and there are often shooting stars. Put on a little R&B in the vehicle and lay a blanket down. #GameOver

Wasn't taking personal or being defensive, just the more I wrote about it the more I realized I sounded like guy who has the "really hot girlfriend...that lives in Canada. You wouldn't know her."

I have just decided to defeat Super Mario Brothers from the original NES, which I have never played before. Let's see how long it takes.

Definitely getting all the mileage possible out of that master's degree.

protip: don't necessarily take the pipe shortcuts to get to the later worlds. going through all of them can build up some necessary extra lives.

Makes sense. Going to be awhile till I find any shortcuts. I've literally never played before. Just downloaded because the boy wanted to see what the first Mario game (other than Donkey Kong and its sequels) was.

I'm going to beat it as an object lesson for the boy in how keeping at something that is hard eventually makes you good at it. Persistence in the face of adversity is not exactly a strong suit of his. It will be good for him to see me start out awful at something he's interested in and eventually conquer it.
