Sasaki and Murakami are all-star level talents. Talent level has really improved over there with the advanced science/tech. Now, I don’t care how rich the Dodgers are, you can’t afford all of them. But the more all stars over, the more attention from the Japanese, which means more money incoming for LA

I agree we need to do a better job “fool-proofing” from the postseason woes but I’m coming around on the “Postseason ball is such a crapshoot” argument. The 12 team expanded playoff as made it such a different sport.

In a span of two weeks, the Phillies went 5-1 with +24 run differential. They dominated a 104 win team that handled them in the regular season. Then in the next five games, went 1-4 with a -3 run differential against an 84 win team that didn’t make the playoffs till game 161.

The thing with our roster, a guy like Elder is fine because you will have ups and down but things balance out. Playoff series are too short for the kind of variance he brings to the table, you need to know what you're getting out of your postseason guys.
