We are paying him as a backup infielder. He is performing as a backup infielder. Running him out there every day is the crime being committed here.

What other shortstops would you overpay for? If you are the Braves GM you try to stretch talent to get as much as possible for the money because he knows “the owners” won’t spend like the Yankees or Dodgers to mask a mistake

You don't believe the Braves are cheap? The only reason they are near the top of that list is because they had sign to off on deals that the other 29 teams would make all day, with 1% to the Atlanta Braves foundation. Their biggest FA signings were Upton 20 years ago and Ozuna.

None of this is AA. It's who the Braves are.

Everybody would acknowledge that the Braves don’t throw money around, but they’re definitely not cheap or they would’ve ridden out the arb years for Acuña, Ozzie, Riley the way everybody else does.

If you don't make the Acuna and Ozzie deals you might as well sell the team. Riley was the only one one they were taking any risk whatsoever with. They are cheap for a sports team.

Due to an unprecedented run on prospects, and an offloading A's, with many players taking below market deals. Count ourselves lucky. Because they'd be with Minnesota, Seattle, and Milwaukee if that wasn't the case. Y'all are delusional if you think otherwise.

$200M+ payroll is still a $200M+ payroll whether you have guys on below market deals or not lol.

Like Brown said, they’re frugal. But cheap isn’t correct.

Too much inconsistency from the bigs and shooters, cant go 1-11 in a half against a good team.
We have nobody that can dribble through traffic and get to the rim.
