Just get to the playoffs and anything can happen. Just look at last year. Who woulda thought the D-backs would go to the WS? Even without Strider and Acuna this is easily a wild card team. Can’t afford any more season ending injuries tho
I'm not sure we will make the post season. They were struggling with RAJ in the line up, take him out and it looks a lot worse. Duvall and Kelenic playing everyday is not ideal. This year, we've made average pitchers look like all stars
Pitching is good, but I don't trust anyone but Sale and Fried
This is where I’m at. I know at some point in the year you are what you are, but it’s hard for me to believe all those guys will have the worst year of their careers all in the same year. The NL is terrible. Barring catastrophe they get to the WC and I refuse to believe Ozzie/Riley/Olson stay league average at the plate and Mikey below league average
Just pointing out, it’s not like the whole team is significantly unlucky. Olson’s gap is wide but everyone else (up and down) is relatively explainable. Duvall SS too low.Arcia and Kelenic’s xwOBA numbers are very bad but it matches with what their numbers looks like.
Ozzie is almost always over performing his by 15-20 points so I’m not concerned
He is worse than what most teams run out there and he is significantly worse than what good teams run out there.Seriously, why are some of you anti Arcia? His stats are better than Dansby's last year and so far this year too. I'm not saying he's top 5, but he's better than what most teams run out there
He is a really, really good backup INF. He is signed to a nice backup INF contract. It’s not his fault he isn’t a backup INF.I said before the season started that running him back again was risky. He was fine last year but not a long term option. Especially if the rest of the team isn’t going to hit
