The Atlanta Braves Thread

I’m making one more post on this and then moving on cause this is why I don’t discuss ball anymore in here.

If the Braves had lost last night, they would still be one (1) game behind the mets with two (2) games left against the mets. The Braves control their own destiny in any scenario. The Braves are capable of winning games Chris sale does not pitch, especially at home against the royals. The mets are capable of losing to anyone. The diamondbacks are capable of losing to anyone. The royals were going to (and have now) clinch a playoff spot without winning a game this weekend. The royals are pulling their starters for the next two and likely resting some regulars as well. The Braves are likely to sweep the royals just by breathing. These were all very logical scenarios to play out.

If you and @zjcvols hadn’t spent so much time crying about Chris Sale not pitching, you would have been able to appreciate a very rested Chris sale starting G1 of the playoffs as the most likely outcome.

Have a good day.

Praying brother. Any news here?
Thankfully yes..... She just posted a few minutes ago. She finally heard from him.
He got to a certain point and roads were impassable so he turned around it took him hours to get back where he started. Then cell signal and internet was down so he couldn't find a way to phone home. Finally he got a hold of a satellite phone and called this morning.

It’s a widespread disaster here in WNC. My house is fine and in no danger, but I don’t have power or water, probably won’t for several days, and the cellular network is down also. I came to Mission Hospital in Asheville (where I work) to take a shower and get some Internet/cell service. No water here either and running on generators.
