Fight against the wave period.

the wave is so 80's.

On the other hand it's the only thing that gets some of the older generation out of their seats. :mf_surrender:

I guess it's not really the wave that annoys me, it's more the people that are always trying to start it.

Last year I missed the wave a lot because I spent most of the time with my head in my hands cussing quietly to myself..

Oh don't get me started.... You're talking to a guy who up until this year was in seat number 1... that's right.. THE END of the row. AH!

...and the other guy who talks loudly after each play so everybody knows what he would have called, as if he's some sort of genius for being able to diagnose a defense AFTER the play is over.

Mine are 1 and 2, I feel your pain. Still better than being in then being in the middle and having to be one of those people stepping on toes.

...and that guy in every section that decides to go to the concession stand usually on 3rd downs.

I would have to agree with MrOrange. Over the last five or six years, it seems as though the excitement in the stadium as decreased with the passing of each year. We as fans shouldn't need a big play on offense or get a turnover on defense for us to cheer! We are the BON, and we should be provide energy and electricity to our team and take advantage of our giant stadium!

I would also say that ever since we blew it in 2001 with the chance to win the SEC Championship and play for the National Title, Neyland is a different place!

You wonder why we have a tenacious road team, but can't beat a top ten team at home! Yeah, people are spoiled after '98, but if the BON wants to bash our team for lousy play and our coaches for lousy decisions, then we should expect criticism for our lousy enthusiam! Fans cheer for their team! Not b/c they do something big every now and then or b/c they need a big play, but b/c they love their team and want everyone to HEAR it!!!!

When my parents bought the tix I have now in 75 they said it was like a mini student section. Many of the people they sat with were just a couple years removed from school and still really loud. It makes me mad that they don't remember how good it feels to be loud and crazy during the games.

However, I have now moved into the neighborhood and it's gonna get fun again! Maybe they don't like me cause I'm the only one bringing my own refreshments.
