Marvel's The Avengers smashed domestic box office records this weekend, and now stands as having the biggest opening weekend of all time with an estimated $200.3 million. The previous record holder was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 with $169 million.

The Avengers' Friday opening day is the second highest single day take of all time ($80.5 million) and its estimated Saturday haul of $69.7 million is the highest Saturday gross of all time. Globally, The Avengers has now amassed an estimated $641.8 million over 12 days in release.

Likely when DC Comics gets the movies to make their own movies, and not Warner Brothers.

I saw the Aveners movie twice over the weekend.
I was convinced it was the best super hero movie the 1st time after seeing it. I was so exited I couldn't stop myself from saying something when something amazing happened including the exploding arrow to the evil lord Loki.
Amazing teaser scene that makes a sequel so obvious.

According to IMDB it opened with 200 million. I'll be surprised if this doesn't make more than 300 million in the United States.
You love to hate Loki he's a Dark Lord, although he's convinced the same as Lex Luthor things would be better if he's ruling even if though methods are messy.

Saw it with my kid Sat. night. Great movie. Hulk was a lot funnier than I expected. Missed the scene at the end though. Need to look it up online.

No I live in Columbia, not Cola. I like Charleston and Hilton Head. Still a horrible state and I won't stay any longer than I have to

Is this movie ok for 6 year olds?

I felt Iron man was ok for my kids if that helps.

Dark Knight not so much.
