The Avengers

Loki got owned by every Avenger in this movie.

Captain America using his shield to deny Loki killing a old man that knocks the shot off the shield and knocks Loki down.
Even though Black Widow did not physically fight Loki she fooled him into giving him information.
Thor slams him down to the ground Loki retreats.
A easy victory for The Hulk grabbing Loki slamming him back and fourth easily.
Hawkeye shoots a arrow that Loki catches but then explodes.
Iron Man knocking him down with some type of shots from his suit.

Flying monkeys was that suppose to be a reference to the Wizard of Oz?

I just watched all of the Avengers' movies. Never saw The Avengers in theatres. Can't wait to watch it once the movie is released.

Loki not running away made sense because he wanted to be caught anyway.

But.... as much as I did like the movie the Phantom Menace ending did bother me.

I don't think the point trying to be made here was "wait, why didn't Loki run away?" What he was trying to get at looked more to be "the heroes should all realize (right then) something was up since he didn't run away during that massive distraction/fight"

So he getting was a apart of his plan to get more information about the Avengers team, and find a way for Bruce Banner to become the Hulk destroying the shield airplane.

They've released a gag reel from the Avengers and a couple of deleted scenes

It's showing again at Regal Cinemas through this weekend for $5, if you still haven't seen it.

Unfortunately all we have here in Memphis are Malcos, that I'm aware of. I'll just wait until it comes out on the 25th I guess.

All Time Box Office Records - Box Office Mojo

Looks like Avengers for opening and second weekends, Avatar for third through seventh, and then Titanic for eighth through twelfth weekends.

But you're right, Avatar does hold all time.

Maybe what I heard was that Avengers was re-releasing to try to take the crown from Avatar, who recently took the spot from Titanic.

Avengers would have to add 1.2 billion dollars to pass Avatar. Don't see it happening.

It has added $50 million in the past month, though, so a re-release could potentially net it another $150M or so.
