Yep the spring should be worth following and at this point he has no option other than to adapt to what we have already. Coach up what you have on the roster now and then he can start implementing his system when he actually has the players to run it.

Actually, his offense may be exactly what we need. The styles of play that Alabama and LSU run may be devastating, but you need high school all-Americans to run it. While we may have some good talent, we just can't line up and run it down people's throats. We need to do something different, because we'll end up right back where we have been the last two seasons if we try to do what everyone else is doing.

Yea, Auburn did not run a lick when it won the SEC and National Championship. You just can not run from the shotgun. Texas AM was complete shutdown by that Elite Bama Defense. what a joke!

His defense was ranked 12th allowing 17.2 points per game plus they had a running back rush for over 1000 yards last year.

The Florida NC team
Auburn NC team had a pretty good Defense
TAMU's team
The offense style has nothing to do with the defense's play. It's up to the coach to make the defense a priority.
You also could ask that question in reverse what team with a tough Defense had a good Offense. It takes balance to be a good team.

Actually they won with Leak as well with Tebow in small packages. AJ could fill that role.

Keep trying and maybe you can succeed at finding the ultimate negative. One of you posters may find it soon.

Or you could actually pull for the team and hope for the best and give him a chance to show you what he can do.

That is not what he he runs. He runs a finesse,physical and pro style offense. Brian Kelly ran the same type offense but now that he is at a school that he can recruit defensive players he does. He has the best defense or one of the best in the nation. And talk about balance CBJ has about a 55/45 run to pass ratio. How much more balanced do you want? I really wish people would do some research on the man instead of trying to make up reasons not to like him. Would he recruit Nathan Peterman if he was a straight up spread guy? He runs the ball a lot and averaged 200 rushing and 230 passing

Also my argument is if we can get a player like those 3 you listed which is highly unlikely, then we could be successful.

I meant under the center running, not shotgun speed sweeps and all that, the SEC d-lines are way to fast, athletic and big for that circus. Y'all will see what I am talking about this time next year.

Yeah god knows We don't want to run an offense that has won UF two NC's and Auburn as well...Damn We would be really stupid to even think of doing that :shakehead:
