The Bash Juan Montoya Thread!!!

NASCAR.COM - Notes: Montoya, Harvick continue to trade barbs - Aug 17, 2007

He drives like he doesn't know what he's doing, to be honest with you," Harvick said. "He goes out, he can run fast but he's all over the place and every week it seems like he runs into a different person.

This is what I've been saying ever since he started driving. He also has some more insight on Pablo Wrecko in the article

I am sure Harvick will try to pay him back, and if he does, as much as you hate Montoya, that will be a mistake cause Montoya will take them both out of it.

and they both will wreck..or montoya will pull a "days of thunder" and demand tires and go back on the track just to crash harvick...

Thats when Harvick better get out of his car and beat the living heck out of him. Harvick needs to quit yapping and start attacking.

Montoya took the high road when asked to respond to Harvick's whining.

"You know, I think he's a great guy, he's a great racer and it's a shame the position he's in," Montoya said. "I've been racing all my life and I learned to get over things like this because we're going to meet again and again on the racetrack and it's a lot nicer and better when you have a good relationship."

btw, which driver do you think Nascar officials will be watching like a hawk? Harvick needs to just shut up and drive.

I think it's pretty obvious which driver Nascar is watching like a hawk. The one that's causing all of the trouble in the sport right now. One Pablo ItoldyaIwasgonnahitya.

It's funny that you quoted that article because I thought it was clearly pointing at Pablo's inability to race clean.
"In four weeks, it's cost us a couple of hundred points and he shrugs it off like he doesn't really care about anybody or anything, that he's just here to race. You make him mad and it's 'Well, I've got a five-year contract and I'll just wreck you every week.' It's hard to talk to him and he doesn't really respect anyone around him."
and
So does it bother you when people say you're not real popular?

"No, I think I'm a lot more popular here than I was in Formula 1, so I'm OK," Montoya said, which elicited laugher from those in attendance.

You are taking up for the wrong guy. It is obvious.

Pablo is a disgrace to the sport

yes, because there is nothing disgraceful about jumping over a car to get to Greg Biffle, trying to attack Joe Nemecheck for something he didn't do, going after Ricky Rudd in pit lane after the race, or opening your mouth before you watch a replay (as was the case last week).

This guy is just an a-hole. Bottom line. He's arrogant and disrespectful of everyone around him. Mark Martin could teach him a thing or 20.

Mark Martin could also teach Kevin Harvick a thing or two about being a good sport and a classy guy. Especially after the last Daytona 500.

Have you seen my blog? I am very aware of Kevin Harvick's past, but that has no impact on the fact that Pablo has no regard for anyone around him which IMO leads to 90% of his accidents. People race him the way he races them to an extent. He's wreckless.

actually, it's "reckless". and you're still drinking the Harvick koolaid if you think last week's wreck was JPM's fault.

When did this discussion have anything to do with Kevin Harvick of whom I am not a fan?

And you lose all credibility if you are insinuating that the end of the Daytona 500 was not a fair finish.

I didn't mistype, Grammar god. And as I said, if you read my blog, I believe it's pretty clear I'm not a Harvick supporter.

I'll be the first to admit JPM has been overaggressive at certain times this season. Just not to the extent that some people like to think.

And I'm sorry, JPM was there inside of Pruett, and Pruett came down the track to try and block him and paid for it. It would've been OK had Pruett (accomplished whiner in his own right) not whined about it afterwards despite blatantly trying to block JPM. I'm not even the only person on this forum that saw it for what it was; a guy trying to make a passing, getting blocked, and holding his line.
I'll buy it Tiddy.:)

Montoya too aggressive?

"Kevin Harvick was certainly ticked at Juan Pablo Montoya following Sunday's race at Watkins Glen. He was mad enough that he shoved him and didn't hide his frustrations on camera. It seems Montoya is involved in some sort of bumping or spinning nearly every week. He even spun teammate Scott Pruett to win a Busch race in Mexico. Montoya is clearly talented and doesn't mind ticking off a few drivers." -- Dallas Morning News

Wow, talking about Koolaid drinkers. You guys have to be drinking spiked Koolaid to not see the light on this one.
