I'm just gonna say that UTEP made at least 7 shots throughout the game that were adequately contested.

We shot the 3 ball poorly, but our rebounding was great. Again, we played good D when they set their offense. Our fastrbeak O and D was bad, but they made a lot of very well-contested shots.

I like your analyses, ZJC, but this loss was to a team that shot very well and luckily tonight. The Xavier loss was far worse, imfuo.

Ehhh I'm done with Martin. It's early in the season but we have said that before too. Dude is an absolute joke. I will support my vols no matter what but I just can't see Martin turning this thing around and getting far in the ncaa tourney like we are capable of doing. Most talent we've had in a while and we are all having to watch this crapshoot. Pitiful IMO. But anyway Go vols

I was off the bandwagon the moment it was announced.

Remember a while back when people were fighting on here because they thought Purdue was going to steal him away from us? I enjoyed that.

Disappointing game-AGAIN. Tennessee shows not emotion, effort, or desire. You really can't tell if the talent is there by watching, since no one on the team seems to care. This team seems to have no pulse, the reason being they may have no heart. I'm am tired of being in collegiate athletics hell.

Here's a post game report of my own...

1. Martin and staff get out coached on occasion. When they do, they look lost.

2. We shot terrible. Missed too many bunnies, free throws, threes.

3. Why is Q playing? Where is Armani?

4. Reading the threads on here hurts my head. I hope the ten or so morons that posted the same thing in multiple threads: "I'm done with Martin and this team, etc." really mean what they say when they posted it over and over. We get it. You think Martin sucks and Bruce was great. Take a hike if you're really done.

I was wrong. I thought we were ready for prime time.
UTEP out-played us and Floyd out-coached us. Well, where's that drawing board?

I gave up on CCM last year. It is obivious he cannot get the job done. The play so far this season has been pathetic. The talent is there, it is coaching. Get rid of Zo and we can put the Mike Hamilton era behind us and move forward.

Can you name the occasions where they have out coached someone of equal or better talent on a neutral or away floor? KY last year doesn't count for obvious Noel reasons. You could maybe argue florida if not for the fact that donovan seems to **** himself every time he sees UT orange. When has he ever just out coached a good coach, not out talented him?

We beat UK at home.

Best road/neutral wins under Martin are at Florida in year one and I guess UMass last year. Not good.

On the flip side, they are great at home.

We aren't great at guard and we don't have enough size/impact in the paint. Stokes and Maymon are tweeners---and Maymon just isn't that good. And we don't play fundamentally sound basketball, either--missed 16 rpt. 16 free throws. Cut that in half and we win the game, even with all the other problems.

Not ready to agree with this one. We played horifically in the first game with them also and lost by 4. Xavier blew a 15 point lead in the final 10 min last night. They are also a bad team right now, and if we shoot, I'll say, 40% or better from the field and hit somewhere between 50% and 60% from the line today, we win going away. But hey, that's still why they play the game, right? We shall see.

I know we beat UK at home, but I figured a Martin supporter would come in and say something like," WELL WE BEAT THAT CHEATING CAL BY THIRTY LAST YEAR" so I figured I would include it as well.

Same old Tennessee with the same old lackluster performance by the players and the coaches.

8. I feel bad for Jordan McRae. The gameplan Tim Floyd threw at him definitely threw him off and his coaching staff didn't help him out at all. But you have to give better effort defensively. They picked on him all game.

9. This will be a point until I see it. What the **** is Martin doing not playing Armani Moore? Why is Q getting minutes? Where was Thompson? There is absolutely no plan with the rotation right now. It's like throwing **** on the wall to see what sticks. There is no plan.

10. A horrible, horrible performance that my eyes wish didn't see. Is there a way I can get the abomination out of my head? Any way? The goal is two wins for this tournament, but I'm a realist and there is absolutely no way it's going to happen. Xavier will run them off the floor0. I'm not usually this negative, but there is no other way to put it. You can hear the whispers become barbershop chatter for Coach Martin.
