Well if it was a transfer, we would have to find out about them soon if they are to be eligible for the '10 season. Am I right?

god,im gonna get fired from my job, for being on here all the time trying to find out who it is and whats goin on...i sort of got yelled at for about the scroggins deal. oh well.lol i hope this will be huge.

that is the big whale, at least that is what I am hearing that around Knoxville. Sims likes the PT available in Knoxville and looks like Thompson used some of his ties to get him to listen. Impressive pull by the staff and should be announced soon

Just wow if true. He would be very likely to start in 2010. I don't believe this right now but just speculating is just wow.

I hope it is true. In the forum it was posted in many people that live in knoxville said they had heard this as well

How would that be if it were true...a couple of years from now...Sims at QB, Milton, Prater, and Nu'keese at WR, Bryce Brown and Toney Williams at RB? Sound good? All we need is to throw in some O-lineman and get a TE commit or two.

Si.com had an article about Corp winning the starting position on their site on Thursday.. Haven't had a chance to read it yet

Phillip Sims is the perfect example of this. He isn't going anywhere but Bama.

I honestly do not think it is Sims...He is so fired up about playing for alabama that if he DID decommit it would send shock waves throughout the entire nation...Hell he is recruiting players to join him at Bama...I just don't see it happening....But yeah my curiosity is way up there right now to find out who this mystery fish/whale is...This staff is amazing so whatever they pull off will certainly get headlines.

I honestly don't see what the fuss is right now. I don't expect that we will find out soon if there is a silent commit or a "big fish" on the hook. People should just let this rumor die. Some of the suggestions for who it might be are comical.

The clip clearly said that it is not a recruit guys. It is a possible transfer.

Well if it IS a transfer then the only one that would qualify as a "whale" of a catch would be Barkley...I honestly can not think of anyone else who would come close to being that big of a catch....Barkley would be the ultimate...Not getting my hopes up though :wink2:

I sure hope the surprise is Paul Jones...that's my No.1 guy in this whole class, next to Blake Bell (yes, I know he's solid to OU). I'd take Jones over Scroggins any day of the week. Your mileage may vary...but that's my story and I'm sticking to it

Paul Jones isn't even in the top 10 QBs this year. Certainly not for the offense we're running.
