Sab, are you Debbie Downer or what?

What do you mean? Just stating the truth as I see it. Paul Jones is wanted by no one outside of Penn State. He actually tried to generate more interest and failed. The staff has looked at him as they have all QB prospects in this class and they have passed. He is not one of the top 10 pro style guys.

General attitude. There appears to be a lot of smoke here for something not to be going on. Whether it's a transfer or an already committed recruit, who knows. But you're just like this guy I avoid at work, who is always having a rotten day. What do you mean? Just stating the truth as I see it. Paul Jones is wanted by no one outside of Penn State. I agree. I do think there is something going on behind the scenes. There always is. There is likely some legitimacy to the rumors. I just don't think we hear anything soon. There's no way of knowing who this guy is until that fish is reeled in though. And all this talk about Barkley or Corp transferring here is honestly humorous.
I agree completely. I never stated otherwise. I'm not going to speculate on who it might be. I don't think there is any way to know until some movement takes place. Also bear in mind that we had "big fish" on the line earlier this year and we either threw them back because they were too small or let them get away. This could certainly end up the same way. The coaches were confident on landing Scroggins too and that didn't happen.I agree with you that Barkley and Corp are not the fish. I do, however, think that there is just too much talk for this to be a rumor. I'm curious to know if you have any ideas on the identity of the fish; as I generally trust your posts regarding recruiting
I honestly don't see what the fuss is right now. I don't expect that we will find out soon if there is a silent commit or a "big fish" on the hook. People should just let this rumor die. Some of the suggestions for who it might be are comical.
Back on topic. Scroggins to UT. Book it.
I have said all along that Scroggins will be a Vol. Just remember that. In the face of every other so called recruiting guru predicting him to USC. I have stuck with my prediction. It makes no sense for him to go to USC. And I have heard that the coaches are confident they will land him.
It's probably Sam Bradford. If he transfers immediately, he'll be able to play here in 2010 for his senior year.
Sab, I appreciate what you bring to the table, I really do. You are right and know more about recruiting than most, but like everyone else, you're not infallible.

I understand that you re-thought and re-stated your position between those comments and JS' ultimate announcement, but it's pretty hard to ignore how adamantly you felt you were right in originally making these comments. Only to be proven wrong, and quite glaringly so, I might add.
It would seem fair to give other people the same breaks we give you, on those rare occasssions when you're found to be wrong. You know best how to act / treat others, but that's my $.02
Barring you know that this "big fish" doesn't exist (I hope that you do, so that we can move on), where's the harm in speculating as to who it might be?
