Or maybe he just wanted to create his own little monster of a thread.

I can't say what I'm going to do because of where I'm at now but you will know it when it happens. Anywhere from right now to a couple of days from now...

Just curious... are you even a Tennessee fan? It seems you've joined sides with a Bama fan and are even telling him to link it up so people can make fun of "your" fan base. That doesn't sound right to me but whatever.

The truth is that Sims is an Alabama commit, he is the big fish, he does want to visit UT but is afraid of what will happen if he does. He is also talking to Prater (whose father would love to see him at UT) and Stone who is a very bright guy who wants to go somewhere where he can win a NC and get paid millions in the NFL.

If Stone can build a class with Sims and Prater and block for Bryce Brown and Oku he would be delighted. The question at UT has been QB. Bray is nice but Bray is going to consider his options. Sims would be dynamic, a star with all the media attention in the world and the centerpiece of a class that could challenge for the NC when he is a junior.


I do not want to be a "big shot" on a message board I just wanted to summarize a whole lot of news that I found very exciting.

It's rather interesting that it's already been linked up by Birmingham for a half hour and T-Town knew about it. Anyways.... Bama fans can be sarcastic about this all they want. I am going to laugh if it actually happens. They have been bottom feeders for a few years and suddenly one good season and an a** kicking by Utah makes them this unstoppable force. Sure.

Holy cow! 1 guess and I hit! That is pretty surprising. Maybe my other guesses are going to work out as well.

Who is on your speed dial at FSU? GT? Clemson?

You could have one million more contacts than I do in football. I think it is funny when people condescend on a message board. I know more people than some people on here, and I know lots less than some others. The people who I do know (coaches etc) are not people who I would bother to call up to ask about a particular recruit. If I did they would not still be my friends. One of the only reason I am friends with some of the people I am friends with is that I do not talk about their work when I am around them. I do enjoy learning about their sons law practice, or the deer stand they set up recently or whatever.

Maybe Sims will come to UT because coming off a 5-7 season we care more as fans about recruiting than Bama does. Do you guys just feel sad about the scandals? Beaten down so low you cannot reach your keyboards? Is it just not fun to check out recruiting info any more now that Thompson is gone and you cannot parlay your 10 win season into anything great? Maybe they all watched the Utah game or maybe Saban's reputation is finally catching up with him as people hate his guts as players as much as they did at Miami, LSU, Michigan State etc.

For the one who asked me, this is my favorite thread because of the OP. It's not that Sims is incapable of committing to UT. He has the ability to commit to the Chattanooga Mocs this afternoon. The awesomeness in this thread is none other than the analytical skills of the OP and his inability to separate a developing story from his excited feelings. When he was posting the 3rd of his 3 points I almost heard the "Rudy" theme song.

Along with that he keeps talking about "Sims doesn't want to say anything because he scared of the repercussions".... a little perspective for you OP, Mr. Sims doesn't live in the state of Alabama and nobody in Virginia could possibly care less about his loyalty or lack thereof to the University of Alabama. It is not signing day. He does not belong to anybody. He doesn't answer to anybody. In-state pressure does not apply here. You topped it off when you tied it all together with their concerns for the feelings of one Nick Saban. Really really good thread you've started, regardless of how it eventually unfolds.
