Coach Thompson stung. Pretending it did not is idiotic. Phyllis from Mulga maybe would not bite him if she saw him on the street but it hurt to lose him. His personal life was blamed for his departure because it was a low blow which is an easy place for classless people to go.

Poor Bama...One person I do know is Kenny Smith and if you pay people money and still suck it is even more awful.

I actually like the history and tradition of Bear, I like John Parker Wilson, and I love the Croyle family (particularly their ministry). Bama has pretty coeds and a few decent programs academically especially if you want to study things bovine.

My favorite thread ever will occur after Saban cries because Sims visits.

I do not worry about our team quitting last year because we have a new coach who will do more than clap when they screw up. We have the highest GPA in several years, lots of players have been kicked off and more have left because they could not handle the intensity and what was expected of them.

What have you guys done aside from Terrence Cody losing some weight? I saw some things in that Utah game that made me feel good about playing you guys this year with speedsters like Teague, like Brown, like Richardson. Our team is night and day different (especially O Line) from last years debacle.

Face it, like restaurant openings Saban is not the hot young coach and Alabama is not the hot program. Ole Miss and maybe even LSU with Chavis are hotter than Alabama right now. We can probably agree that Chizik is a joke, but I am glad Trooper Taylor will be pulling recruits from you. Tennessee is the hot team, we have the hot coach, we have the media attention, we have the legend of coaching (Monte) the legend of recruiting (Ed O) and we will be stomping Alabama's butt regularly now when it comes to recruits. Go back to Oak Ridge and try to get kids TN did not offer, bc within 2-3 years TN will be with Florida getting everyone they want who is not deeply tied to their home state and Bama will sink back.

By the way, I will take the Rudy comparison. My team beats Alabama in the end and I am carried off the field as the poster who made Sims come out and confirm his conversations with Askew, Stone and Prater? Awesome!

Thompson's recruiting was made by Saban. To think he was responsible for all of those commits is idiotic. 90% of it was Saban. Theres a reason Thompson wasn't a great recruiter before Saban and isn't a great recruiter with us.

Hell, a top LB has been calling Thompson for days, and thats the only coach he can't even get a hold of.

I haven't heard as much about Thompson pulling anyone in this year. It seems that Gran and O are having the most success as of now.

Not to get too far off topic, but I can't help but commenting that I thought people on here were just as bad as people on Bama boards (some people), but my disdain for Bama just went through the roof when the cheapest ticket for our game in Tuscaloosa that I could find came in at $125. Insane.

One thing I do wish people would quit saying when recruits are talked about is "He just said today that he isn't going anywhere." What do you expect a commit to say?

ok so it seems things are getting crazy. I have never said we are getting a commit, just that Tennessee is looking like an option for a QB I thought Tennessee had no business with.

Now, to my first twitter post that got posted here. I should say Tennessee isn't necessarily going after him but them player in question is rumored to be second guessing. I am sure if true the staff is on him.

According to this it is not Sims...doesn't seem as if he has wavered in his decision at all.

you are my new favorite poster ever. By the way, how's that wall around Memphis doing? It's really a shame for the other posters on this board that you don't research your baseless claims before you make them.

And I feel like I have to clarify this since it appears you're not aware of your status in the media. You're not hot to them. They hate you. Ole Miss is hot to them. Florida is hot to them. You are not hot to them. While you still may have the desire to believe how "hot" you are you should know that as f*ed up as the BCS is they're not yet giving out National Championships based on off-season "hotness". I can sense how disappointed you are about this.

All I have claimed is that he is the person Prehm was talking about with "legs" and that he is considering coming to UT for a visit this fall.

The announcement will be the visit, not that he has committed. I do not believe that anyone knows for certain where Sims will go at this point. The more Bama fans claim they know the more I smell $$$. hahahah yes I am partly joking with that comment, but a kid from Hampton Roads does not care about any SEC school over another, he just wants to go to the NFL and get paid. Vick to VT, Harvin to UF etc.

If TN can start recruiting Hampton Roads well it will be very helpful to our program. Thank God Slade is not in charge of that area any more!
