I really don’t care what happened in the early 20th century, I only see how things are depicted now. The fact there’s an argument about how someone is depicted on a bottle of syrup is absurd especially how it’s been shown how it changed over time.

I don’t know. Something on the news may come on while we’re in the break room at work about a shooting and one of my buddies will say “you know that’s a brother” or just point at his arm referencing skin color. In other scenarios they’ll point at me and we all just laugh it off.

Yeah you can too..... my best friend jake growing would have been all about police reform......doing things to help the African-American community but he would laughed his butt off at aunt Jemima and uncle Ben. They are coming after Eskimo pies, the Rice Krispie guys, and the monkey from whatever cereal box has the monkey on it..... I’m all about changes but let’s make real changes.

Is there a stereotype that they do? I wasn't aware of that. I was implying he was soft more than anything.

I don't think he would have the guts to say something as racially insensitive as 'stereotypes exist for a reason' during a serious debate about race relations.
