The cancel culture is getting out of control

He’s closer than you were .
Regardless of what you think it is... political correctness has its origins in women's liberation. The term first appeared in print in Toni Cade Bambara's book from 1970 called "The Black Woman: An Anthology". I know damn well what I'm talking about here.

You didn't do it very well. Liberals certainly do advocate for political correctness. Hence, no more Aunt Jemima.

The PC culture is taking a successful black figure off a product that she helped create and profit from . To me that’s stupid and irrational but hey I thought taking the Indian girl off the Land O Lakes , that was created by an Indian was also stupid .

Link ?

How dumb can you be? The two have nothing to do with each other.
They both revolve around intolerance for opposing views and opinions. One works for political correctness and the other just cares about himself. The issue is the same. Intolerance.

Even with your disagreement on this topic you are being intolerant yourself. Maybe you should go shame yourself.

I think I read that somewhere about her falling off her horse. That's a good flick. I like John Houston. The Man Who Would Be King is a good one of his. I have that one somewhere on VHS.

I like The Unforgiven as well. Great cast with Burt Lancaster, Lillian Gish, Audie Murphy, Charles Bickford, and Audrey Hepburn. Cash Zachary (Audie Murphy) sure hated Indians.

I think he is too stupid to understand that as the President of the United States he is threatening to violate their 1st Amendment rights. They have every right to dictate their terms of service and enforce those terms as they see fit. Those are private companies. Trump is also too self-absorbed to realize what a hypocrite he looks like while suing to block the publication of Bolton's book, sending cease and desist letters to CNN.... AND also whining about Twitter adding addendums to his dumb tweets. Trump only cares about the 1st Amendment as it can be used to help him... and only him.

I presently lean right. I generally vote for which ever side I think threatens 1A & 2A the least.

I won't even argue with your criticism of him as a snowflake and active cancel culture participant.

I think he might be right going after Twitter though. Even if he is only right for all the wrong reasons - Sun shines on a dogs ass kind of day.......

Fifteen or so odd years ago we had over 20 sources of independently owned MSM. Now we're down to 5 or 6.

**CDA Sec 230, Article III assigns the judicial power to the Federal courts**

In my opinion; Social media has ultimate Carte Blanche to libel, slander, embellish, defemate, & misrepresent narratives ..... effectively functioning as a Publisher while hiding behind the protections of a Platform as they curate, modify, censor, delete, ban, modify user contributed content to propagate their bias.

I don't care how CDA Sec 230 affects Trump per say. I asked you because agree or disagree, I've liked your perspective in a few previous posts.

As I see it the MSM Ogliarchs have gone completely partisan and don't give balanced perspective anymore.

I honestly don't know that I think social media should lose their Platform protection and become liable as a Publisher but I wouldn't mind the courts reviewing a law that was written 20 years ago before social media platforms reaching 100+ million was even a concept.

Social media companies need to stop hopping the fence back and forth to justify their actions. If you are merely a platform then act like one at all times with the governmental protections you are afforded. If you want to control the content in any way shape or form then you are a publisher and no longer a governmentally protected entity.

If they want to have their cake and also eat it, then off with their heads.

Amazing how the oppressed, to end oppression, become the new oppressors.
Edit: and how wiping out intolerance requires intolerance
Is having to put up with some name changes and not having a fat black woman on a syrup bottle really being oppressed? You are using that word very loosely. It's not clear that you have an understanding of what actual oppression is.

Do you? Was having to look a black woman on a bottle of F***ing syrup for 100 years oppressive to you? It’s to the point morons have to come up with s*** like that to be oppressed over. It’s really hard to fathom the stupidity that the left mob is displaying right now.
