I don't think of it as important one way or the other. Is it a silly change to make? Sure, it is. Is it something worth getting angry over? It shouldn't be.

I think the problem is deeper than changing the name of syrup or rice. Look at how quickly these things happened. If the George Floyd incident hadn't occurred are these things happening right now? COVID-19 proved how quickly and easily the public is manipulated. Same here. Use a unifying event (a horrific one caught on camera) and it took no time to get from Cup Foods to a global rally.

What are you supposed to do about it? Kinda annoying when you and the kids are trying to sleep. You really think a bunch of teens are going to pay attention to an adult with no authority over them? I have no real gripes if it's before 10 or 11.

The cops have already said they’re not going to waste their time chasing down fireworks complaints, and I agree with that approach

I’m not talking about police response. I’m talking about the general penchant for “caring about the community” that these type idiots often claim. They don’t want to follow rules or norms because they think their uneducated selves are somehow special or immune.

The problem is that much like “punch a nazi” your message gets lost when you consider “everyone who is pro police, pro Trump, anti antifa, anti rioting, paw patrol, Washington and Jefferson statues etc to be on the same level as the KKK

Lots of people don’t follow rules. Even if a rule is broken, I think it’s still generally accepted that, for example, that original Karen calling 911 over an unauthorized cookout is obnoxious. These aren’t emergencies

Like the same way that everyone who protests injustice is a antifa or believes that systemic racism exists is a libtard that hates America? If you don't like being pigeon holed, stop doing it to others.

^ literally perfect example of what OP was describing. Fail to see both sides. I remember abortion clinics being nail bombed in the 90s, I assume that was antifa too? People need to come closer to the center, stop with the extremism.

Yeah, that reason was because white filmmakers in the early 20th century wanted to depict black people as either monstrous, sexually deviant killers or as smiling agreeable women happy to serve their white families.

Some stereotypes exist because they are intentionally created, not because they reflect reality in any way
