* Lincoln supported his home state's law, passed in 1853, forbidding blacks to move to Illinois. The Illinois Constitution, adopted in 1848, called for laws to "effectually prohibit free persons of color from immigrating to and settling in this state."

* Lincoln blamed blacks for the Civil War. "But for your race among us there could not be a war," he said, "although many men engaged on either side do not care for you one way or another."

* Lincoln claimed that Mexicans "are most decidedly a race of mongrels. I understand that there is not more than one person there out of eight who is pure white."

Repeatedly during the course of his career, Lincoln urged that American blacks be sent to Africa or elsewhere. In 1854, he declared his "first impulse would be to free all the slaves and send them to Liberia -- to their own native land." In 1860, he called for the "emancipation and deportation" of slaves.

Actually he could have been any color from dark skinned North African to the lighter skinned people from north of current day Turkey. The Semites from that time were mix of peoples and cultures. It's impossible to say what his skin tone was like.

Consumer products giant Unilever said Thursday it is aiming for a “more inclusive vision of beauty” in its skin care products and will remove words such as “fair,” “whitening” and “lightening” from its products, a move that comes amid intense global debate about race sparked by the Black Lives Matter movement.

As part of the shift, Unilever will in coming months change the name of its “Fair & Lovely” product that is used for skin-lightening and sold in Asia, the company said.

California Town Banishes Christian Church from Downtown Area

The city of Salinas, California, is forcing an evangelical Christian church to sell its downtown property, saying it does not fit in with the new look of the town.

New Harvest Christian Fellowship bought the building in early 2018 after its congregation outgrew a space the church had been renting for more than 25 years. A new city ordinance, however, prohibits houses of worship from occupying the first floor of downtown buildings, the Christian Post reports.

Umm most North Africans aren’t black; Egypt, Algeria, Libya, and Morocco are all majority Arab and have much more in common with the Middle East. You were trying to spell Sub-Saharan Africa so no he wasn’t closer to being black.

Lol I love watching them fall all over themselves to virtue signal . Im waiting for Master lock , Master chef, Black Cat fireworks all to change their names plus we have to get rid of Masters degree , rename the Black Mamba, Black tie affairs , Black Betty , Dark Chocolate , the White Whale , The White Rabbit , White Chocolate , The White House .. but my favorite will be when they will get around to Black history month because it’s racist .
