The party of pro law enforcement attacks and beats police officers in the Capitol building.

The party of fiscal conservatism balloons the debt.

The party of pro military disrespects the US military at every turn.

The party of national security dumbs down worries about Russian aggression on numerous levels.

And then, for any Republican who dares complain about it, Trump gets his cult to viciously attack them.

Good luck getting elected officials to self-impose a self destruction sequence. Our whole system is designed around promoting selfish interests. So term limits are the last thing they would agree to pursue.

I'm not a huge Biden fan, though I think his heart is in the right place. And I worry about his age.

But in the sense that the Dems needed to avoid the extreme, unlike the Republicans who went full loon in '16, he was the logical, if boring, choice.

And they turned out to be right about Trump. Trump is a bragging, loud mouth, egomaniac. Biden is a return to functional and predictable stability.
