The cancel culture is getting out of control

'Stop s***ing on your own!': Bill Maher says Woke Liberals have lost 'perspective' about 'real oppression' and should stop complaining about America and realize 'we're not the bad guys'

Real Time host Bill Maher slammed 'woke liberals' for complaining about America by teaching Americans what 'real oppression' looks like on his show on Friday night.

Maher slammed Americans for constantly complaining about how America is 'so oppressed, sexist, and homophobic' by highlighting what his viewers should learn from Afghanistan.

Folks you can't have an opinion these days without being cancelled. Another one bites the dust from the Woke company ESPN.

Women, including black women are now in the crossfire of political correctness. Oops, I'm sure that wasn't the original intent. The law of unintended consequences.

The only safe job these days is being a leftist bigot disparaging conservatives.

ESPN anchor Sage Steele is off the air after her comments on vaccines and Obama

Sports anchor Sage Steele is off the air at ESPN after she called vaccine mandates "sick" and "scary" and questioned why former President Barack Obama identifies as Black even though he was raised by his white mother.

Steele made the comments last week on the podcast Uncut with Jay Cutler, and her removal from the air was reported by Front Office Sports.

In a statement, the network said: "At ESPN, we embrace different points of view - dialogue and discussion makes this place great. That said, we expect that those points of view be expressed respectfully, in a manner consistent with our values, and in line with our internal policies. We are having direct conversations with Sage and those conversations will remain private."

ESPN also shared a statement from Steele. "I know my recent comments created controversy for the company, and I apologize," she said. "We are in the midst of an extremely challenging time that impacts all of us, and it's more critical than ever that we communicate constructively and thoughtfully."

So Fox, OAN, and NEWSMAX closed down? They seem pretty safe to me. As do RedState, Breitbart, Conservative Fun house, etc. Their 'talent' seems pretty bulletproof.

Fascinating interview exchange between Jason Whitlock and Tucker Carlson starting at the 11 min 45 second mark about race, the cancel culture and Sage Steele. It lasts for about 7 minutes

Whitlock was very good in that piece until the end. He lost me when he said we should identify based upon whether we believe in Christ or not. No, we shouldn't "identify" based upon religion either. I don't care if a person is a Christian, Jew, Muslim or atheist. The consequences of that decision will be dealt with in the afterlife, if at all and has nothing to do with me. I wish he'd not have gone there

Whitlock point is race shouldn't determine if we have something in common. He has deep christian roots so no surprise he used that example.

I agree with him on race but he ought not identify people based on whether they believe in Jesus, God, aliens or the Flying Spaghetti Monster

I get that part is not necessarily common to everyone, but it's part of this countries founding values. This country wasn't founded on on Islam, Buddhism, atheism or any other religion ie government. Tucker's remark opened the door for his comments. He was being open about his opinions. He didn't have to be embarrassed and it's definitely his opinion.

Cancel culture refuses to acknowledge that people can grow, change, and make meaningful amends. At some point, the court of public opinion will have to start working with the concept of a statute of limitations.
