You might be  more mentally unstable than ainge is right now!!!!!!!

The high quality quotes you've contributed have shown sanity.....

Two interceptions and he's the worst QB ever??? How many TD's have each QB thrown? How much longer has Clausen been in there? Whoa....too much to figure out? Again, since a Senior like Clausen has done so much for this team I guess we'll see you in the NC game. I'd expect a guy who's been around for four years and under such awesome OC like he has to do much better than how many TDs all year? And against who? Oh he's SUCH a great QB!

Danny your nephew played great last year.  But he is probably one of the lowest rated passers in division 1 now.

What part of the cheerleading squad was you? The one that floated in the air like a fairy.

There is no shame in admitting your in EA's immediate family...we've already called you out

And Clausen's two TD passes today were such quality throws...actually no different than some throws Ainge has made. It took receivers actually making an effort to pull those in. So it wasn't Clausen it was the receivers who even put those points on the board.

So you actually expect us to believe the recievers intentially drop passes when Ainge is in the game???

This is just pointless. Neither one of our QB's have impressed me much. I hope that Crompton is the real deal.

Honestly how has your boy Rick played in games like say UF, USC and UA? Such big games but remind me how he played?

You see I don;t have a problem admitting Ainge has played poorly. But YOU on the other hand make Clausen out to be the best QB in the country. The difference between you and I is that I'd like to see the potential of the future worked on. You're the old school stale Fulmer mentality that lets no one but Seniors play and then when next year comes no one has seen real game time to prepare for those big games. I'd say you need people like Ainge and a whole list of others out there trying them out, building their confidence up, and testing their skills. You're quick to judge someone and make ignorant comments about them. Good thing you're not coaching. We'd be 0-9 right now.

Did he save our ass? Really? How was that? Making two passes that the receivers had to reach and pray to catch? That still didn't give us the game. And even so, it was Memphis. if Rick played like this against memphis and looking at what he's done all year, we're in more trouble than we think.

Again, read the post. Read what I said. You're still ignoring one point. Actually I thought Foster was the one who kept us in the game. Rick just managed to contribute.

I hope so too. But I say just in case you better work on what you have as much as possible. Some people would rather throw everything out the door after one bad partial season. Just think Rick was sloppy seconds and was a nothing in the beginning as well......look what he became....oh crap....God help us....please let Crompton be Peyton Jr.

Excuse me?!?! Is it your site? Who the hell are you? Lay off the drugs man.....you're just a little too uptight. I understand we're all upset but making comments like you are is just a little on the freak side. Perhaps if you were speaking facts I'd entertain your suggestion. But since that's not the case I'll stick around getting under your skin.....

Did I say this? Next time you direct something at me, try to make sure it even applies. Try reading what I say before making such a stupid rebuttal on my comment.

"But what do I know....I'll defer to the experts out there who somehow DON'T seem to be coaching for UT and follow Clausen who's been as much a contributing factor to losing as Ainge."

Perhaps I misconstrued your comment, but it sounds as though you're throwing off on fans who don't support EA.

And perhaps you misconstrued my comment. The "you" was indefinite; I referred to everybody who makes asinine comments such as the ones upon which I was remarking. It's not all about you.

Keep your attitude, junior. I've got plenty.

I apologize. I just don't appreciate having someone claim I say something when all they have to do is read the full post.

Again, I never claimed that Ainge is the great QB. I've said he's terrible. Both are terrible. But obviously we've got issues to work out in this position and others. You can't work them out in the offseason. Maybe if it was under a different coach, yeah I'd think differently. But clearly there were a lot of things said coming out of Spring Practice that were clearly not true across the board. And since Spring practice can't deal with those problems maybe real time will handle it. It's obviously showing true since a lot of those freshmen and redshirt freshmen that more than likely would have never seen playtime in normal conditions have shown they can play. Problem is Ainge was good in his first season as well. it seems that the longer players stay the worse they get.

I'd say we all start chipping in to buy the best OC out there now. Don't limit yourself to just who's available. Everyone else came in and stole from us so we need to shop around as well.

settle down guys no need for the hostilities, look we won. ainge played bad today, he's played bad all year. clausen played better than average today. he hit briscoe with that pass i didn't even think he could throw that far. clausen should and will start the rest of the year. like i said earlier clausen isn't very good but he is our best chance to make a bowl game this year. we need to make a bowl game. :biggrin2:

I think we've both misconstrued each others' comments. I apologize for my miscontruing...or something like that. We both looked at each others comments the opposite of the intended thought.

WOW! A bowl game. Lot to shoot for. Independence Bowl what a disgrace. But it doesn't matter its a bowl game. One game instead of trying to get ready for next year. Maybe the Vols can get the Indepence 2 years straight. Most fans can't see thats all Phil is shooting for. A bowl game and the alumni is off his back.

If I had the choice..I would rather go to a bowl than not go to a bowl. 7-5 is the best we can finish and as a fan that's what I am hoping for.

agreed. who wouldn't want to go to a bowl???? i dont care if its the hammers weedeater sale bowl dadgummit. i wanna go to that more than i do not going to one at all. its better than nothing

not according to some. Some people think if we can't play on New Years Day that we should just decline and skip the extra three weeks of practice we get.
