The Case FOR Tennessee

i am probably more pissed about the committee than you all.

florida got screwed.

That's true. The opponents Coral Gables should be in Gainesville. Made no sense unless you consider some anti sec bias was at play.

The fact that ATM barely made it in proves that as well.

This was likely the best year in SEC history and the brackets were designed to assure only 2 SEC teams make it to Omaha.

The west was terrible this year making anti sec bracketing more difficult.

Indiana is a cute team that the NCAA loves to elevate to national seeds (Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan in past) but they are not a top 8 team in nation.

USC and most of PAC have fallen off table.

The selection committee obviously had a lot on the table.

1) The continued athletic affirmative action to try and make baseball relevant and competitive in the upper Midwest and northeast.

2) to fill in the gap created by the collapse if the area if the former SoPac. The Arizona teams, USC, UCLA, Fullerton etc were all outclassed by teams to north

3) the continued rise of the lesser Texas teams over Texas and other big schools.

This was the year the SEC deserved 11 teams but it was never going to happen with this committee as constituted. "Fairness" and geography would not let that happen.

Too many western teams for too few host sites and an obvious effort to protect ACC hosts from SEC bullies.

Don't go anywhere, got some good stuff coming a little later today and...

As soon as we find out where the guys are going for summer ball, we'll be updating that as well.

I'm hoping we don't shut completely down this summer as we have in the past...gonna try to keep it going. :dance2:

I'll still be here with ya.

Not shocking didn't make it.
It'll be great in 2015.

A bitter ending but no doubt a bright future for the baseball vols.

And it must be a new fashion style that it's not only the vols have.
The cornhuskers also have multiple large stripes baseball jerseys.

Arizona State was wearing Sun-stros jerseys yesterday as well.

Our local high school has a large stripes jersey, I think this is the 2nd year they wore them.

Wonder what the guy from project runway would rate these as.

Old navy could make polos of these designed.
Any fantasy or super heroes could wear designs of these style stripes as vests, part of the one piece suit, etc.

I had a nautica polo that had a similar design but stripes went from top to bottom.

Just looked at Perfect Game, we actually have more wins and have played more top 25 RPI opponents than LSU. Our schedule and results are astounding to be left at home. We're a victim of our conference more so than these teams playing in weaker conferences. The NCAA is going to refuse to jump from a record of 9 teams from one conference to 11. I will laugh hysterically if all 9 or 10 manage to move on to the Super's. The SEC's athletic dominance is a point of jealous contention across the country and it's not going away anytime soon.

So much for 10 moving on. The SEC has been downright pitiful up to this point. Vandy is the only one in so far with OM in good positioning. LSU, TAMU, Bama and State all still have the opportunity to move on with LSU and Bama having the best chances IMO. I like seeing the conference do well but I'm pulling for ULL. I want to see how far they can ride the hellaciously good season they've had.

Vandy in super regionals at home.
In game one it's all to easy vandy 10-0 in top of 4th at home. Still a lot of baseball left but no doubt Stanford would need a major miracle to tie the game and win.
