The Central Park dogwalker incident had hit full SJW outrage.

Public consumption of alcohol is barred in Central Park. I'd love to see how drinkers would react if a stranger with no authority over them walked up to them and told them to stop drinking and if they didn't they would not like what would happen next. I think there would be more than a few fights precipitated by such an exchange.
Yep.... people need to mind their business unless it effects them at the time

Just watched the video again.

What’s funny is how Karen went from being straight up pissed off to the point of angrily confronting the bird watcher, to amping up the drama voice, clearly terrified for her life while talking to the cops. 😂

Her life was never in danger.
No.... she wasn’t in danger.... she was pissed

We both know Gump doesn't have anything to do with mental disability. Your fake outrage to change the subject won't work

I get it. It's okay for you to use "Gump" (a mentally challenged character) to insult posters, but when a white person describes a black guy as being black in a 911 call it's outrageous. Practice what you're preaching, Skippy.

And overreacted.
Yep. Calling the police was the overreacting part. If she had just confronted him about his threat and left it there then she was fine. Feel bad that she is losing her job and being raked over the coals here when this over dramatic bird watcher hall monitor is apparently skating free.

The whole damn episode is an over reaction.

She should have just said “mind your own damn business!” and ignored him and let him film all he wants. Who cares.

Somewhere pigs have sprouted wings and are lifting off. Otherwise, I can't explain our agreement on something

Apparently a dog running loose without a leash in a bird sanctuary can effect your enjoyment of bird watching, if you’re into that sorta thing.
The actual bird sanctuary.... dogs are not allowed period..... they were in the ramble which allows dogs to be off leash from 6-9 AM.... she was outside of those hours......Central Park is huge.... just go to a different area.

I agree she overreacted, but he overstepped when he threatened her dog.

He never threatened her dog. She did more damage to the dog than anyone involved.

The alleged threat was giving the dog a treat, which in and of itself is creepy, but his end goal was to get get her to put her dog on a leash, so as not to disturb that particular area of the park where the birds were.

Was she fired or placed on “administrative leave”?

She deserves neither, but I’ve seen both reported.

I think his end goal was being able to initiate something and post it all over social media

He knew that, she did not. If I'm in a heated argument with someone and they say "if you're going to do what you wanna do, then I'm gonna do what I want to do, but you're not going to like it," I think it's reasonable to interpret that as some sort of threat. Not a threat to my life or my dog's life, but some sort of threat nonetheless.

Agreed. especially a woman alone in a park, no matter what race the weird nutjob birdwatcher is

And at the end of him saying that, he tried giving her dog a treat...which is weird...and she then called the cops saying an African American man was threatening her life...which was an overreaction.

If someone is threatening your life, would you stand directly in front of them and call the police or do you leave the area?

I’m of the opinion she never thought her life was in danger, otherwise she would have bolted.

Ok this is really getting creepy. I thought the exact same thing.

Then what sense does it make for her to stay where the nutjob birdwatcher threatened her life while talking to the cops? Seems like even she knew a guy who watches birds couldn’t be that great a threat. 😂

He’s recording her. She should have taken a picture of him, called the cops and GTFO of there if she thought her life was in danger...oh and stop choking the dog.

I agree that she poured on the "I'm a innocent poor white woman being threatened by a black man" hot and heavy. That was completely unnecessary and tinged with at least unconscious racism. But the narrative that he did nothing at all untoward seems false. He made a statement that could reasonably be interpreted as a threat to do something to the dog that she wouldn't like.
