None of our lies are going to result in serious sanctions for the Tennessee basketball.
He got a second chance and still committed major violations that Indiana hasn't overcame.

We don't know that yet...so you are just assuming the worst at this point. My point is you throw this guy under the bus as has the national media and then you want him gone because he made a bad mistake. He has been punished by the university and the program will suffer but I challenge you to offer a solution on who will take his place and make TN competitive again. And I mean a realistic solution and someone who will actually come to TN (a football school) and lead the men's bball team to 5 straight NCAA tourney appearances.
It's a race between Wes Rucker, Mike Griffith, and Basilio sidekick Alex Anderson to see who can come up with the most creative explanantion as to why none of this is Bruce Pearl's fault and everything is just fine.
Mike Hamilton has done one great thing for the university of Tennessee athletics, and that is hiring Bruce pearl. We have one tough season and everyone calls for his head.
Roy Williams had a tough year following a successful year and nobody called for his head at NC.
Every coach has a tough year. If you cant sit through it without giving up then you aren't a Tennessee basketball fan. Youre just a "Tennessee basketball fan... when they're good."

Again, your argument is hypothetical and holds no water. Bruce Pearl situation stands on it's own and to compare it to Kelvin Sampson is unfair. Using your logic, TN must compare it's NCAA investigation and sanctions that of SMU from the 80's.

Let me remind you that Jerry freakin' Green had this program ranked in the top 5 nationally. Maybe the best thing out of the Pearl era is the upgrade in facilities. Plenty of coaches can step in and do a good job.
Yeah, the "SEC is out to get Pearl, just look at the free throw disparity in conference play" they ran out there today was brilliant. That's exactly the kind of topnotch journalism I would expect to play well to the mindless masses. This team was good at the beginning of the season, and they aren't very good anymore.
The problems with this team go deeper than just CBP... piling on top of him isn't going to prove any points for the media guys. Everyone who follows the team closely enough to read or listen to their boring reports and stories knows what CBP did and how it has adversely impacted the team, so rather than stating the obvious, they are pointing out other glaring problems with the team i.e. the PG play.
They are just doing their job. There is nothing new to write about CBP. Makes sense though, anyone with an opinion opposite from one closed minded butt hurt fan is a sycophant. Great logic.
