The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

Cooley is actually a cool guy and in HS won state for wrestling so I would put $ that he could beat Romos azz. Regardless the comment was off the cuff and said on a DC radio show, but go ahead and be mad at Cooley for the 24 point choke job

And your point??..It was said over the airwaves..Just because he and the Redskins are still butthurt over the firrst loss in week 3 doesn't mean he had to open his trap and secure the Cowboys a win in the next matchup this season..

Romo>Cooley..Anyday,everyday without the smartazz mouth to go along with it...

At least Cooley doesnt like to throw TDs to the other team. Skins will take care of the Cowboys at home in mid November

That inability to run might have killed this team late in the game again

You gotta get 6 points. You can't give Tom Brady a second chance with 2:35 remaining.

I swear, Brady is the luckiest dude in the world*. He plays with angels on his shoulders. His offense turns the ball over 4 times, and his D only surrenders 13 points? Do you know what happens to the Colts if they turn it over 4 times to the Cowboys?

*Tuck rule, throws a pick to lose in last minute against Chargers in playoffs, but the DB fumbles return, etc.

Lucky? When they absolutely had to score, Brady was at his best. It had nothing to do with luck.

Furthermore, talking about luck, the only reason Manning has that one ring is because the Pats knocked off the Chargers in that game - I seriously doubt the Colts beat the Chargers in SD in the AFC Championship. You should be thanking Brady.

...wow, where to begin here...

FYP, not to mention it's a twisted stretch in the first place.

The TD throw was fantastic, but other than that, Tom had time and wide open WR's. In his last 3 possessions Tom Brady threw a pick, a TD, and went 3 and out. All 3 are clutch scenarios and he was 1 for 3. Tom Brady gave the ball back to the Cowboys with 3:36 left. That could have been the game. He's lucky to get the ball back.

Have at it. I stand by my statement. The Colts don't win the SB if they have have to go through the Chargers in SD.

OK. Do you have any points that don't depend on a weird hypothetical? This is like me saying, "Tom Brady is lucky because if he had to face the '85 Bears in 2001, they wouldn't have won the Super Bowl."

This is a far different argument than simply saying the tuck rule call could have gone the other way. If it's a fumble, game over, Raiders win. If Brady's potentially game-losing pick against Chargers isn't a fumble, the Colts and Chargers still have 60 minutes of game to play to determine the outcome. You are stretching...

Brady certainly did not play a perfect game but he got the job done. He managed the clock beautifully on the last drive and took what the D gave him and never forced it downfield. It was fun to watch.

There isn't a QB in the league that can't manage the clock with 2:31 left, and 2 timeouts (+ 2-minute warning). That's a lifetime in terms of 2-minute drills.

Here's a weird hypothetical for you:

First of all, they had 1 timeout. And they scored a TD (when a FG sends it to OT) and left the Cowboys with 22 seconds. Yes, he managed the clock beautifully and for you to argue otherwise is a little silly.

Still enough time. Any QB can do that. He did it right. I'm not saying that he didn't, but I'd say that's plenty of time for every starting QB in the league.
