The Dallas Cowboys football circus thread

Tony Romo has thrown SEVEN interceptions in losses with the Cowboys tied or up one possession in the 4th quarter/OT. No other QB has five.

Didn't the announcers keep talking about how Romo leads his team to comebacks? Lmfao at them.

Definitely not, what in the **** was Garrett thinking by the playcalling in that situation? Was Dooley calling the plays?
I have been a pretty big Romo apologist, but the pick that was the "turning point" was a called run that Romo checked out of because of the D alignment.

It was not a bad call per se, but the throw off the back foot across the field was.

Had he spun out of that near sack by Matthews and completed that pass to Austin he would be hailed the hero of that game instead of the goat.

Now the fact that they passed as much as they did consistently in the second half is baffling.

Romos form turns to hot garbage once the calendar year hits December. That's being increasingly compounded by Jason Garrett, who should not be working in the NFL.

Only ONE QB has a higher QB rating than Romo in December. One. Aaron Rogers

As bad as a decision and throw it was to get intercepted... Truth be told it should have never ever been an issue. When your defense has given up points and mainly tds on 13 of its last like 17 possessions you have to feel some pressure to continue to score. The defense is comically bad

They're doing it again.

60-70 yards rushing in the first half…halfway through the 3rd quarter Murray's gotten I think 2 carries.

Maybe they're afraid if they treat him like a workhorse he'll get hurt?

How does the coaching staff not generally understand that, at the current moment, not only are they much better at running the ball than passing it, but if they run the ball more it keeps their awful, awful defense off the field?

I fully expect Orton to lead them to a deep playoff run. It's just fitting at this point.

Have I mentioned I despise the Cowboys lately?

Its not Orton I'm worried about vs the Eagles. Its that defense. If they dont come to play they could easily give up 45+

But I'm sure it'll still be all Romo's fault.

16 million is a lot to pay a guy that isn't ideal for your defense. In the 3-4 we ran when Ware was drafted, he was perfect. And his performance proved that.

He's not suited for Monte's 4-3 like he was the 3-4. Combine that with injuries and on field performance, I can see why Dallas made this decision. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Dallas overpays everybody. If Jerry hadn't handed out ridiculous contracts over the years maybe Ware would have been someone they could keep.

Someone is going to get a great defensive player though.

That's mainly my beef. I guess the move had to be made, but I'm not going to applaud someone when their own incompetence led to the release. Ware may not fit in the 4-3, but i'm a little skeptical that Jerry will find someone better.
