Not really. Anyone that's followed Dallas for years know what our problem is and they don't get their hopes up.

Exactly. Its Jerry Jones and his yes man coach Jason Garrett. Every time dallas finds a way to lose a game, its expected. I don't expect to be good again until Jerry is gone.

Yep being a effective player doesn't result or translate into being a good or great head coach.
Look at mike Singletary very damn clear with that one when he was the 49ers head coach.

Cowboys are the jersey shore of the NFL.
They get watched because of the train wreck or accident to happen. Losing in the same or new ways it's the cowboys.

Mediocrity is a art and the cowboys are a Michelangelo of it.

And Wade Phillips before that. Dave Campo or Chan Gailey. I had hopes for Parcells.

A head coach should be able to pick his own staff. Everyone knew what to expect when Garrett was hired as OC before Phillips was hired as head coazch. And even then the only reason he was picked is he's a 3-4 defense guy.

Jerry's got it in his head that he was a big part of our 90's success. That came with Jimmy, and slowly left after Jimmy quit.

I'll wager 90 bucks he doesn't care at all what any cowboys whether players or not thinks unless it's in his best interest.
If he is close friends with Jerry Jones I wouldn't be shocked if he took advice from him even though I doubt he would ever admit publicly.

Not shocked cowboys release Kyle orton.
Quite frankly I believe he won't be anything but a mediocre qb that can't win the major games last of the season to make the playoffs.

He'll win games when that don't matter when there is no pressure like the chiefs vs the packers.
I say no pressure because chiefs had a horrid season, and it's garbage time wins.

Anyone notice Dooley has been standing next to Garrett and barking in his ear?


Possible replacement?

Oh god. Dooley better not even sniff a head coaching job. I was saddened that he left Tennessee to go to the Cowboys. Just had to stay on one of my teams eh? UGH!

Anyway, I just don't see Romo lasting a full season this year either.

Last nights game was terrible. We were lucky to score, and our defense is even worse. Long road ahead.

As bad as our defense will likely be, pre-season doesn't mean anything.

All of our Super Bowl teams in the 90s had losing records in the pre-season.

They had more starters playing than Dallas did. Especially early in the game when the starters usually play...
