This doesn't concern the question of a mask mandate. It concerns the freedom of choice. Where a freedom of choice exists, right or wrong or "false" (as you put it), is irrelevant. A person has the right to make a bad choice.Desantis is right.
edited to add wearing a mask to prevent any covid is a false choice and criminal to impose such mandates on any free man
If we only could’ve used this logic for the past two years so many healthcare workers wouldn’t have been forced to get a shot they didn’t want. This doesn't concern the question of a mask mandate. Desantis is just another run-of-the mill politician. Pretends to have principles, but when it comes to putting those principles into practice he’s just another hypocrite worried about optics to please his base and win elections… and before the tiny hands army comes in to mindlessly defend this douche, yes I know the exact same things happen on the other side of the aisle.

can you point to any instance where he used his power to prevent someone from wearing a mask?
I have a ton of examples where it goes the other way and politicians used their power to make them wear one.
Not a shot at “the other team”, unless you have tiny hands, in which case I apologize. Just an anticipatory sentence to save time responding to the perpetually offended.
That's not the point.
Is it an individual choice to wear a mask or not?
If it is, then a person wearing a mask doesn't deserve to be chastised any more than a person without a mask does.
Once again, is another person bringing harm to you, because they choose to wear a mask?
