So the blazingly white actors and actresses of today should be discriminated against because of historical discrimination that they had no part in and that probably occurred before they were even born? Is it morally acceptable to punish people because other member of their group benefited from past wrongs?
Once again serious question. Do you believe additional wrongs are ok if they are to undo previous wrongs? Because some people do believe that. I respectfully disagree myself

The stuff people cry about is not even real and even if it were, it's so inconsequential. Most recent show I just picked up is called Yellow Jackets. Can you believe that only this many of the main characters are totally white? This aggression will not stand. As totally whites, we have to fight until we secure every female role for totally whites, and we're going to act like we don't get any roles until we get all of them again!

Poor libs will lose one of their favorite punching bags come January when Gaetz loses his seat. How will they ever cope? I guess they could continue to investigate, harangue, and vilify like they still do Trump who hasn’t set foot in a government office in…..checks notes…..19 months now.

Why not just try and stick to the actual distribution of people in America? Why do we have to go to one extreme or the other? As the Libs always used to claim that they wanted government to „look like America“?
And it’s not just whites being banished from tv and movies. Asians are also finding the acting call backs drying up rapidly as well.

You said they don't get any roles and now you're posting a link showing trends in commercials. Why are you moving the goal posts on such a stupid, small, inconsequential gripe?

If hollyweird gets your jimmy rustled over this, imagine real-life discrimination, like not even getting considered for a bank teller position because you're white. Imagine getting stopped and frisked just for being a white dude walking around with a backpack. People on the right have never wanted to hear any of that from the other side, and you're crying about totally white females in commercials. JFC, dude.

Your question was "why not stick to the distribution of America?" No offense, but it's a nonsense question. Show me the employer intentionally sticking to the distribution of America. There isn't one and so why hold casting directors to this standard? I didn't answer because it doesn't seem like a question asked in good faith.

The other question was why do we have to go from one extreme to the other? I reject the premise of the question. The article you posted doesn't seem to share any actual facts about who is getting roles, it's apparently just an opinion that it's out of wack. Why are you calling it an extreme?

Why do they have to be totally white? I don't even understand that part. Why do they have to match the distribution of America? Do you feel like whites aren't getting enough representation? Please go on the record.

We're talking about advertisers here. All they are trying to do is appeal to their target demos and you're looking for perfect racial fairness based on America, not the target demo, for some reason.

Why is that so important to you? We've have (still do) cast whites in non-white roles, but I doubt you've clutched your pearls about that.

Not the first time I've seen you squirm at the thought of POC doing something predominantly done by white people over the years.

It’s not important to me personally, not being an actor. I just think it is ironic that the diversity and „discrimination is always wrong“ Hollywood virtue signalers are now such active discriminators.
What is a POC anyway? Are there people out there WITHOUT colour?

It is racist anytime you make a decision based on race instead or ability or character. So who is really acting the racist here? Equal opportunity for everyone, the way MLK himself wished to see it.
Of course sometimes acting roles do require consideration of race for historical dramas. I would expect a white to be cast as Hitler and a POC as Frederick Douglas

By calling Hollywood „overwhelmingly whitewashed“ I could of course accuse you of blatant antisematism you know. People have been claiming Hollywood is controlled by a certain subset of whites for a long time now. They are NOT people I would think you agree with.
