Unless they've re-done the bar in the last year I know the layout.
And maybe they don't have darts there any more but I do know that you can hang out there without being in the way of people playing pool.
Just do what I do. Sit there and refuse to move. When asked to move, just glare at them. When they figure out you're a regular and they're just an annoying passer through, that ends it.You'd have a good point if you knew the layout of the bar. There are tables around one side of the pool tables, placed there by the bar, for people to sit and drink. No one is "hanging out around the pool tables" they are sitting enjoying some drinks and food at tables provided.
Also, there are no darts there.

I actually move a little bit the first time, but I find that if you let them know you consider it an imposition, people find a way to take their shot from another angle. For pool, I move, but not much. Kindof like when you're obnoxiously close to someone during conversation. Close enough to smell the Bud Light they're sipping on.
It's to the point now where every upstairs bartender has asked a few times why I still don't have a mug. I figure that I'm generally there on Tuesday when 4 20oz mugs might be overkill with Wednesday morning right around the corner. It would help on weekends, though. If they gave free cover charge on Fri/Sat, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
I prefer the back porch with the black girl on guitar.
The worst patrons there are the ones who think its acceptable to steal their custom pint glasses. Every time I sit out on the porch there always seems to be some guys who somehow unknowingly walk out with a glass in their hand. I always think of those d-bags when its incredibly busy and the Nut Brown Ale comes out in plastic cups.
No, I had court early this morning and wasn't enthused enough about seeing that one live to make the trip home late last night.
