Only difference I observe is the pitching staff was deeper and better. Not saying these young guys won't get better but had 3 top notch starters and a solid BP.

I think hitting is a wash.

Pitching and attitude, although that “attitude” may be what actually did them in.
I think the conference was tougher in ‘22 also.

The lineup is deeper but the pitching still has a ways to go. We had far and away the best offense and pitching in the country in 2022. This year we have the best offense and like a top 8 pitching staff. 2022 gets the edge as far as team goes but 2024 is right there.

Idk about tougher. There were only 5 teams that finished with a conference record above .500 in 2022. And we were the only one in the East. We were also the only team to reach 20 wins. Now, one could say that we were sweeping half the league so we directly impacted their record but there are currently 7 teams with records above .500 in conference play this year. This year, there are 4 teams that are trending towards having 20-win seasons. I think this is the best the conference has ever been imo.
