Also, not sure why the SEC hasn’t adopted the 20-game conference schedule like a lot of other conferences. You could play every team in the conference (15 teams) plus 5 teams that could rotate on an annual basis for home/away. I guess that makes too much sense though???

It’s not a conspiracy. I call it sitting on their big fat arse and being lazy at schedule making. They came out with the 2024 football schedule and then didn’t even put any work into the 2025 schedule, they just kept the same schedule but flipped the home/away teams. Bunch of BS.

Play 20 conference games plus conference tournament that's 24 or 25 games.

Playing 20 conference games may reduce OOC games.

Yes this for regional purposes. Top 5 teams advance after the three rounds. You have 5 guys play and the lowest score is dropped and the top 4 count. There are 6 regions so 30 teams advance to Nationals.

For nationals, 15 teams are cut after 3 rounds. After the fourth round the top 8 then enter match play. Then you just play it out like a regular single elimination tournament for the national champion. If we could just make it to match play….then maybe!

SEC office did put a lot of thinking into the 2025 football schedule.🤣🤣🤣🤣

The football schedule was pure laziness and dragging their behind on not going to a 9 game schedule. They want to delay the teams like Florida, UGA that we will now only play every other year. Good riddance to both!

It’s only a bump from 18 to 20. 2 meaningless games gone from the schedule wouldn’t hurt. Lord help us if we can’t play 2 of Tennessee Tech, Wofford, George Mason, Georgia Southern, Tarleton State, or Norfolk State 😂

Well go to a 10 game conference schedule in football and get rid of Chattanooga and Austin Peay.
