I don’t follow you..she literally just played doubles and a very hard fought 3 set match that didn’t end until midnight…coming back under 24 hrs to play the best player in the country is a very tough task
Then don’t play tennis. You signed up for this and you know what kind of shape you need to be in. Be better. If you want to compete at this level then you’re not about to lose because you’re tired. It’s a mindset. You don’t have time to be tired. That’s the difference between winning and losing. It’s literally the minimum requirement is to be in good enough shape to last.

It’s not about being in shape…it’s being allowed time to rejuvenate your body…could you imagine basketball players having to play two top ranked games in the same day or football playing a game a few days after another game

She played a 3-set marathon that ran after midnight last night
Sorry, but I’m not about to lose because I’m tired. I’ll lose by not being as talented but being tired is not an excuse I’m willing to accept in any sport. You are a D-1 athlete in the best conference in the country. Unless you have some kind of lung disorder then that’s on the athlete for not being in good enough shape.

It is about being in good enough shape. A&M players don’t look tired.

Texas -- and Houston, in particular -- have always helped Louisiana in times of need. There is flooding in LA now for them to reckon with, but I'm sure if Houston felt like they needed help, they would not be refused. You have to keep in mind the resources of the 4th largest city in the country. And also that TV likes to catastrophize. I admit, I don't really know what you're referencing but it sounds suspicious to me.

I remember driving all night (due to traffic speeds) to get to Houston from New Orleans the night before Katrina hit. Everyone I know in NOLA has affection for the people of Houston.

Texas A&M and Texas, on the other hand, not so much! F them. 😂
Much gratitude toward the Cajun Navy. Peeps really helped secure safety during Harvey!

They played before the Lady Vols and they had very easy matches…we played a very exhausting match way into the night..these ladies are battling right now! They are giving their all! This is quite a performance so far!!
Everybody except Cabezas is battling. I didn’t say the other ladies weren’t battling. Cabezas is the weak link tonight. Yeah it’s the #1 player but you have to make her at least work for her points.

The ladies are flat gassed…what a great run for them regardless. I hope it starts forward momentum for that program to get to the overall level our men have achieved…I think it’s possible!

The emotional toll of a big victory in a grueling match may be even more than the physical toll
