Verlander and Scherzer have ERA’s in the 3’s. Kershaw has a career 2.48 ERA in this environment of hitting! Dislike him all you want but you’re out of your damn mind if you think he blowsDude…you have talked about Bryce Harper for two days….hahahahaha….Kershaw blows and I can dislike guys just like you can…lol
Verlander has 50 more wins and 600 more innings pitched…the last of a dying breed…I bet we never see another pitcher even reach his win total unless they want to revert back to proper pitching…you can dislike Harper as well….works the same way..that’s sportsVerlander and Scherzer have ERA’s in the 3’s. I don’t care about them either…pro sports mean nothing…if you care about grown men getting paid to play a game unequally…then pop your chest out if it makes you feel good…I don’t identify with pro sports….I don’t live in a pro sports town…you can’t go to a school of a pro team…but I will continue to cheer on the Braves every Chris Sale startNot our fault is it? Braves get rid of players all the time and still are competitive.
I never said Harper blows. Maybe he does blow something. Idk, that’s his business.Verlander has 50 more wins and 600 more innings pitched…the last of a dying breed…I bet we never see another pitcher even reach his win total unless they want to revert back to proper pitching…you can dislike Harper as well….works the same way..that’s sports
Lol sounds like a fan of a team that hasn’t been relevant for 34 years.I don’t care about them either…pro sports mean nothing…if you care about grown men getting paid to play a game unequally…then pop your chest out if it makes you feel good…I don’t identify with pro sports….I don’t like in a pro sports town…you can’t go to a school of a pro team…but I will continue to cheer on the Braves every Chris Sale start
Pitching wins have been shown to matter very little. How many wins has deGrom missed out on due to being on a crap team?Verlander has 50 more wins and 600 more innings pitched…the last of a dying breed…I bet we never see another pitcher even reach his win total unless they want to revert back to proper pitching…you can dislike Harper as well….works the same way..that’s sports
Can’t get the numbers without the innings…if you pitched 3500 innings then you got paid a long time to pitch and somebody valued you…you won’t be pitching that long surrendering runs like that…So if I go out and pitch 3500 innings in a career but also give up 3500 runs are those innings still important?
30 vs 305
That has no effect…we are down to 64 now and we will soon be down to 16…all of those teams can win it in and the college season is condensed so the games matter and don’t drag on for months like the mlb…the Sec/Acc etc don’t really compete with those teams anyway unless you want to count midweek games where nobody pitches their top arms…how in the world do people watch 162 games a year when most teams are eliminated from the start…all you Braves guys are getting bent out of shape with losses that don’t matter…you will either beat the Phillies or Dodgers 4 months from now or you won’t…these 4 months are just for individual stat accumulation…30 vs 305
Virtually all the metrics are in Kershaw’s favor:Innings pitched matters…some say it’s the most important stat. You can look at advanced metrics and WAR…Verlander will be at the top of that as well.
Helps to pitch less and always be hurt when you are out of your prime…meanwhile Verlander keeps going and going. Accumulation matters in baseball. Always has and always will. None of his total will equal Verlander. Should have pitched more…then he could have accumulated more while his percentages went down and his Era etc went up. That’s how it works. Cant Sandy Koufax it and then say you are better than Greg Maddux. One guy did it great for a time and was done, the other did it and never stopped doing it. Both great…yes…both Hof…certainly. But one is better than the other.Virtually all the metrics are in Kershaw’s favor:

OBP
SLG
OPS

Hard Hit %
