Baghdad Bob was the man!!! i remember getting good laughs out of those press briefings.

YouTube - Mohammed Saïd al-Sahaf

I remember those press conferences he would hold claiming that they were beating the American forces back to the border. I kept wishing a tank would break through the wall behind him! He was hilarious. I want someone to do a "where is he now" type thing, just to see what ever happened to him.

Last year I went to Iraq. Before Team America showed up, it was a happy place. They had flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate, where the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles.

FNC growth has drastically slowed over the last few years compared to MSNBC. I know someone will say MSNBC had nowhere to go but up which basically is true but truth is can any cable news channel say they are the most powerful name in news when you are reaching app. 1% of the population. The good news for FNC is they reach alot more elderly than the other channels and the elderly seem to vote % wise more often than the 29-54 crowd that cnn and msnbc both get more of than fnc, even if that is who the ad people covets.Maybe someone can Drudge up the network ratings for monday.:eek:k:

Honestly it's for one reason and one reason only the fact that they use the term fair and balanced in their advertising to me that is blatant false advertising even if one could say it is based solely on opinion.

What a crock, you don't like them don't watch. Your local newsperson is biased, every human being is biased about some topic or another. News is not fact driven, its opinion driven, you could come on and say ok here it is, show clips for 20 minutes, and say good nite. All media is slanted one way or another on any variety of subject matter. If you like Olbermann, then watch him, you have that choice, if I want to watch Glen Beck, that s my choice. I believe Fox is fair and balanced, thats my friggin opinion, you don't think so, thats your friggin opinion. This forum is based on opinion, such is all of life.

I sometimes watch them that is how I formed my opinion and continue to keep it unlike some of you with other media outlets. Unlike some I like to be informed when making an opinion on something.

there's no doubt you're informed. I mean look at that brilliant little factoid about MSNBC. Nobody would have ever believed that before you made your very informed point and converted it to gospel.

Is there some chance that you could start posting on stone tablets for the rest of us uniformed types. Gives it a much more authentic and unarguable feel.

I did not say all of you were not informed I just believe you'd actually have to watch something to have an informed opinion on it.I don't go around saying a movie is crap when I've never seen it.Do you?

You're wasting your time DA. I agree with you, FoxNews is not "fair and balanced" but this group ask how high when Bill O'Reilly says jump.

Are you serious, I'm 40+ years old, traveled all over the world, I read countless newpapers per week, do you in good consience think I haven't watched MSNBC, or CNN in my entire life? Before you start stating fact you should know who you debate with before giving your high and mighty opinion.

and your post is a perfect example of how it's been distorted. Talking heads are not the news. How are their news reports unfair?

If it has a certain sect of your liberal Hollywood types, then I will absolutely call it crap before watching it.

Your first response to this post left me a little confused. Maybe I should watch some CNN, then I might get it. I tend to be very biased and that keeps me from reading between the lines or any of the invisible print.

Well I don't know if you'd call this unfair or not but I do recall on two seperate occasions during the Mark Foley scandal they showed Foley with his name underneath and a (D) for party affiliation now I won't say that it was intentional but you'd atleast think that the most powerful name in news could afford some editors to catch such a glaring mistake as that would'nt you.

with really shallow garbage like this, I have to assume that you have no ability to form an opinion on anything.

Well I guess you like to form your opinions without being informed that is your choice then again ignorance is bliss now isn't it.

Come on, that was an honest mistake.........

Whenever you hear something like the Foley situation you are always going to associate it with a democrat.

I'm absolutely blissfully uninformed. It's the reason I asked you to post in clay tablet form if you could so I know when the gospel is being presented. Avoids me having to think through the type of drivel that Anderson Cooper tries to pass off as news.

When you start correcting grammar on a message board it is probably a good time to pull out of the debate unless of course you really could not understand what I was stating.
