The Endzone Garden Thread

Well it was a weird gardening season. Everything started with a bang and looked fantastic. And waned off into a moderately decent season. I know it was weird cause I normally don't do well trying to grow cukes, but those were my hottest producers this year. But, thanks to Father's Day and a Birthday, I have two fig trees and two blueberry bushes planted. Angling to get a bush cherry at some some point. And prob not a bad idea to squeeze in a 3rd blueberry.

It appears that the groundhog that first hit the spinach, lettuce, and green beans has moved under the back deck, presumably with a wide-screen TV, recliner, remote control, and mini-fridge. It's legal in NC to trap them, but you can't then move and release them anywhere else. It's legal to kill them, but no firearms in the city (don't have a gun anyway), and I'm not gonna stab it to death or some other ludicrous method.

It appears that we have to get one of those high-frequency noise gadgets to drive it away to a neighbor's yard. Bwah hah hah

At any rate, no planting yet.

Ground hogs are sizable critters, bigger than many tea cup dog breeds. What if you were to trap it and donate it to a critter sanctuary? Take it to visit “friends” in a neighboring state? 😁

I don’t know if there’s anyone who annoys me enough to do that to!
